We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is.

Ghost Points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns (goals or assists) or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, tackles won, successful dribbles, interceptions, accurate crosses, and aerials, among others.

Rostering players that score a lot of ghost points can be the decisive factor in your league; while attacking returns and clean sheets aren’t there every week, these ghost points usually are. Having players on your squad that have these attributes can provide your team with the much needed consistency you need to sustain a title charge. And when your player is able to combine these ghost points with attacking returns, that’s when you get explosive performances that can almost single-handedly win you gameweeks.

But how do you find these ghosts? That’s where we come in. We scour the ranks and maintain a Ghost Point chart that tracks players who are registering the most ghost points (overall points minus goals, assists, and clean sheets), which can be difficult to see unless you look closely and know what to look for. And we deliver a weekly article for members of The Inner Circle highlighting three players that have shown a penchant for accumulating these points and whom you can likely pick up in your league before your fellow managers catch on!
