We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is. Ghost points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, successful dribbles, interceptions, accurate crosses, and aerials, among others. Identifying these points is essential for your Fantasy EPL prospects, and our Gameweek 34 Ghost Point Hunters article is here to help!
This Gameweek 34 Ghost Point Hunters article is based on the Fantrax Scoring System.

Gameweek 34 Ghost Point Hunters
The season is steadily coming to a close and it's nearly squeaky bum time. Getting in some ghost point gems can help you close out the season with some dubs. This week's edition has 1 waiver wire pick up and 2 cheap trade targets: Romain Saiss, Yves Bissouma, and Christian Benteke. Saiss has proven his ghoulish credentials, Bissouma is historically more hit or miss, and Benteke is a longstanding member of the Casper club. All are worth a peek.
Honorable mention go to three other players that ghosted out this past GW: Tielemans (Maddison has not yet wrested set piece control from Youri); Matt Targett (keeps scoring despite no recent cleansheets); and Kalvin Phillips (13 ghosties v Utd; more set pieces with Raphinha out).
Romain Saiss
Position: Defender
Team: Wolverhampton Wanderers
Rostered: 89%
Ghost Points Per 90: 7.9
GW33 Ghost Points: 14.5
Prospects: Nailed on starter and has a good schedule ROS.
Verdict: Try to trade a MID4-5 or Def +1; should be cheapish given his low profile & relatively low score last GW.
Romain Saiss, the guy who posted a world-beating score of 6.5 this GW, really? Yes, the guy was Beetlejuice in disguise in GW33. Do you know how hard it is to score 6.5 as a defender whilst conceding 4 goals (-8 pts)? Well, I'll tell you. It takes the following: 1 Key Pass, 3 Tackles Won, 5 Interceptions, 2 Clearances, and 4 Aerials. This comes in the wake of Saiss's back to back double-digit ghost point performances. Wolves may be at the beach and just let Burnley - I repeat, Burnley - score 4 against them. But Saiss just keeps scoring. And he faces West Brom & Brighton in the next 2 weeks. Act accordingly.
Yves Bissouma
Position: Midfielder
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 45%
Ghost Points Per 90: 6.5
GW33 Ghost Points: 15
Prospects: Regular starter and decent floor; if he keeps these ghosts, he's an elite streamer ROS.
Verdict: I want to see if this continues (last opponent was SHU after all). Worth a WW pickup if you need a MID.
We've all picked up and streamed Yves Bissouma at some point in our FPL Draft careers; don't lie, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Not good enough to roster but not bad enough to be completely ignored, we are all just a few injuries away from starting the combative Brighton midfielder. If you did so this past GW, you'd be pleasantly surprised and rewarded with 15 ghost points and no yellow cards (even more surprising). Bissouma's ghosties stemmed from 2 Key Passes, 2 Tackles Won, 2 Interceptions, 2 Aerials, and 6 Successful Dribbles (wow). All this needs to be taken with a large pinch of Yorkshire salt given that it came against lowly Sheffield United. But he has upped his spooking capabilities of late, averaging roughly double digit ghost points over the last 5 GWs. I, for one, feel a bit more confident about streaming Bissouma these days. And you should too.
Christian Benteke
Position: Forward
Team: Crystal Palace
Rostered: 59%
Ghost Points Per 90: 9.9
GW33 Ghost Points: 11
Prospects: Has seemingly nailed down the 2nd striker spot; with his built-in ghost points, he'll be value ROS.
Verdict: It is slim pickings at FWD these days and Benteke is a decent shout. Try to trade a MID4+DEF.
McBurnie before McBurnie, the OG of poor strikers who somehow score very well in Fantrax, Christian Benteke is an FPL Draft legend. The big Belgian scores Aerial points in his sleep (where he dreams about Aerials). While he has gone on goal droughts that would make even Bobby Firmino blush, Tekkers rarely disappoints when it comes to ghosts. Playing time has been an issue but no more, Benteke has made the 2nd striker spot (alongside Wilf Zaha) his own. In GW33, he delivered 11 scary scores, largely from, you guessed it, Aerials (14 of them to be exact). Crystal Palace are really poor and have nothing to play for but that shouldn't stop Benteke from getting his Aerials. Try to make sure they are in your team's score column.
