Waiver Wire Gameweek 14
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 14 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Joe Gomez (Ros 15%)
Prospects: Once news started filtering out about the length of Konaté's injury, Gomez was picked up in most competitive leagues, but with rosters packed with players being held for the fast-approaching Christmas congestion, people could be forgiven for deliberating a bit on the Englishman, as he was facing Manchester City in the last game of the GW. Not to worry, Gomez rolled back the years to Liverpool's last title-winning campaign when he so efficiently partnered VVD all season and brought them the title they had been waiting for for 30 years. Sunday night featured a similarly heroic performance against arguably the best striker of his generation as Gomez helped Liverpool keep a clean sheet against the Champions. Gomez should have a good run in the Starting XI as Konaté looks to be out until mid-January and considering Slot's "whoever-plays-well-stays-on" policy, Gomez could even make the position his own for good in the upcoming 7 to 8 GWs.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 4-6 FAB to get him.
Kevin Schade (Ros 13%)
Prospects: There was no doubt that the young German attacker would feature in one of our articles after an all-timer display against Leicester featuring 3 goals, an assist and 48.5 points in our scoring system. I have been a great fan of his since day-one but even I have to admit that I had lost faith in him this season as he lost his spot in the Starting XI. Those who punted on him will forever remember the day they got 48.5 FPts from a matchday pickup and those who didn't should contemplate throwing a few FAB on him tomorrow. While I don't expect another 50-pointer anytime soon, the young man's confidence will be through the roof and on a high scoring team such as Brentford, anything can happen.
Verdict:Â I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-7 FAB to get him.
Reiss Nelson (Ros 36%)
Prospects: The Arsenal loanee started his West-London adventure slowly as he took his sweet time ousting our all-time favourite Adama from the starting XI. However, since his first start 4 GWs ago, he has looked very good IRL and on the fantasy pitch as well. He has managed 3 double-digit returns in 4 games and most were without attacking returns. Word of warning: he is coming off 4 straight starts, so this upcoming midweek might be the one where he is benched, regardless, I would still spend some FAB on him as he looks to have nailed down an attacking spot on this surprisingly effective Fulham side.
Verdict: Â I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 6-8 FAB to get him.
