Waiver Wire Gameweek 29
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 29 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Radu Dragusin (Ros 1%)
Prospects: I might get in trouble for this one. No knock on the guy, and certainly not trying to pile on Spurs any more than people already have, but Radu Drăgușin and Spurs don’t look great right now. That said, in his last three starts, Drăgușin has posted scores of 8.75, 8, and 12.5. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you see it), that’s someone you might want as your DEF-3/4 if you’re one of those 4-or-5-at-the-back truthers. If we look at things objectively, Spurs have to improve or they risk serious trouble of relegation, and they actually have a very favorable run of fixtures coming up outside of that Liverpool match. It sounds crazy, but the numbers do too. I was going to recommend him last week but was going to wait and see what Tudor did versus a non-Arsenal side. In case he loses his spot to Kevin Danso (many would say the objectively better player), Danso (0% rostered) is an even better option to pickup and stream (and potentially hold).
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Rico Henry (Ros 5%)
Prospects: It’s been great to see him work his way back into form after his unfortunate injury. He has now solidified the left-back spot in the starting XI for Brentford and is logging close to 90 minutes consistently. Nearly 16 fantasy points in the 4–3 win over Burnley is nothing to go crazy about, especially considering he had only topped 8 points twice since the new year. Still, Brentford’s attractive run of fixtures through the end of the season makes Henry a potentially interesting pickup if he can find a groove here.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Diego Gomez (Ros 39%)
Prospects: The Paraguayan has generally not been someone that managers have trusted throughout his fantasy tenure as a consistently reliable option. Over the last two weeks, however, he has scored in back-to-back matches and totalled 17.75 and 21.5 fantasy points, with Brighton showing signs of finding some resemblance of form with 2 straight wins. Their upcoming fixtures are manageable every other week for a stretch before easing further with visits to Burnley and Spurs. You are probably not starting him every week, but he could be worth holding on your bench through the tougher matchups and deploying when needed. He has certainly shown over the last two weeks that he can deliver when given a good matchup.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
