Welcome to the Tuesday Tactical Takeaway, where we take a weekly look across the Fantrax EPL Draft landscape and ask the important questions: what went wrong, what went right, who is quietly cooking, and who should probably be taking a long, hard look at their squad.
We’ll dig into the moves, performances, trends and general nonsense that shaped the week and, most importantly, figure out what actually matters going forward. Sometimes a development changes the entire draft landscape; sometimes it changes absolutely nothing; Our job is to try to work out which is which.

Check out our 26/27 Draft Kit for all the pre-season information you could ever need. We've got a Live Draft Aide, Draft Rankings, Team Previews, Cheat Sheets, Strategy Articles, Draft 101. Dominate your draft!
The Key Performance Indicators
To kick things off, we’ll take a look at 3–5 of the biggest talking points from the weekend - the performances, trends, tactical wrinkles, and developments that caught our attention and could have a meaningful impact on the Fantrax EPL Draft landscape. Some will prove important. Some will prove to be nothing more than a brief statistical curiosity.
Rayan. Cherki.
It's Tuesday and Cherki managers are still taking their victory laps: 29 FPts from 2 goals, 3 shots on target, 3 key passes, 3 successful dribbles in 81 minutes with 4/7 set pieces (3 left hand sided corners, 1 free kick). I am still salivating thinking about the fact I landed him in the second round. His elite performance was only topped by his interview where he loudly said his first half performance "was shit." I love a self-aware king.
This match featured a brace from Haaland, proving the hair will not drag his scores down and Phil Foden! Foden scored 22 points, largely from 2 assists, with a moment of brilliance on the second assist after Cherki was subbed off, leading to a Haaland goal. However, with how great Cherki has looked, and with Doku returning soon, Semenyo would be returning to the right wing where Foden has mostly played... I don't feel great about his prospects rest of season as a regular contributor.
