Tottenham Hotspur Best Fantasy Players

As noted above, these are the Best Tottenham Hotspur Players for the Fantrax Fantasy EPL platform. We analyze the Lillywhites' top three prospects ahead of the new season, with an estimated draft pick for each player.

Harry Kane

Position: Forward

20/21 Points: 601 (2nd overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 17.2

Recommended Draft Pick: 1-6 (All leagues: 1st round)

Overview: Kane had both the most goals and assists last season for a Spurs team that struggled to find any consistency.

Harry Kane will always be in contention for the #1 fantasy player due to his goals, penalty kick duty, and now his ability to score ghost points. I wouldn't be surprised if Kane had a similar season to last one and proved again to be a top 3 fantasy asset. With Nuno coming in, I can see Kane being just as dangerous a player as ever. If you have the #1 overall pick and want a forward with it, then Harry Kane is definitely the way to go. Spurs are still looking to sign new players so there is always a chance a big name winger or #10 come in to help Kane score even more goals for the club. With no Champions League again for Spurs, there will be more time for Kane to rest to try and avoid his yearly injury. There are still rumours he may leave to Chelsea or Man City, which may make him even more valuable if he gets a move to a better team. Surrounded by better players I would have full confidence that Kane would be the best fantasy player next season.

Son Heung-Min

Position: Forward

20/21 Points: 509 (3rd overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 14.1

Recommended Draft Pick: 6-10 (All leagues: Round 1)

Overview: Son had his best scoring campaign in his time in the EPL with 17 goals and 10 assists. He will look to build on that when the Nuno reign starts.

Son should be a safe pick to be a top 10 fantasy player this season as well. He takes his fair share of set pieces, penalties aside, and links up superbly with Harry Kane. The two have linked up many times over the years and should continue again this season. Son tends to fill up the stat sheet in different ways with key passes, shots, and dribbles, he averaged 8.4 ghost points per 90, and should see a similar number this year. The big fear here is Son's value will decrease if Kane leaves, but I don't believe this to be true. Spurs will not sell their talisman without a star replacement ready to go. As well Son would probably see an increase in penalty kicks, and probably be the new go to man. No matter what transfer business Spurs get into this summer I would still consider Son a great pick in the mid 1st round of your draft.

Matt Doherty

Position: Defender

20/21 Points: 130.5 (204th overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 9.3

Recommended Draft Pick: 73-96 (12 Team League: Round 7 to 8)

Overview: Doherty struggled to find minutes in his debut season for Spurs. Being reunited with his former manager may see a turn of fates for the attacking wing back.

Doherty was once a star fantasy asset during his time at Wolves, but struggled last year for Spurs. I have full confidence Doherty can truly make a name for himself this season. Nuno loves a wingback system and Doherty is probably his perfect player for the RWB slot. With Aurier having one foot out the door, Doherty should have next to no competition for the role. A good start to the season will be key to Doherty locking down that spot and gaining confidence from his teammates. Doherty has DEF1 potential and upside but should be considered a DEF2 this season, until we better understand how Nuno will use his former player. The main risk with Doherty will come with the uncertainty of his scores hence the DEF2 valuation. I still believe he is worth a pick once you hit rounds 7/8 in a 12 team league.
