Effects of the World Cup on Fantasy EPL Assets

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has come and gone, but its impact on the Premier League season is only just beginning. The longest and most demanding World Cup in history featured an expanded 48-team format, a record number of matches, extensive travel across North America, and grueling summer conditions that pushed players to their physical limits. For many fantasy managers, this is completely uncharted territory. The last time we entered a draft season immediately following a summer World Cup was 2018 (with Qatar 2022 taking place in December), back when many of you still thought "ghosts" were just simple terrors of the night.
