West Ham United Sleepers

As noted above, these are potential Fantrax Sleepers from West Ham United. These Fantasy EPL players are likely to be drafted in the later rounds. Read below for three under the radar players who could provide excellent value in your pre-season draft.

Jarrod Bowen

Position: Midfielder

20/21 Points: 280.5 (56th overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 8.8

Recommended Draft Pick: 73 to 84 (12 Team League: Round 7)

Overview: Not guaranteed to start for West Ham but has explosive potential, a good player to draft during the mid/late round, scores well when he does start.

I do really like Jarrod Bowen, so I was disappointed to see him relegated to the bench when Lingard initially arrived at West Ham. The former Hull City midfielder did subsequently still see a decent amount of game time though as he filled in for Antonio as the central striker for a good number of games. All things told, last season was a below-par one for Bowen, despite being the 56th highest overall scorer. He was being drafted around the 30th to 40th pick after a really strong end to the 19/20 season. Many, including myself, expected a really strong season. It didn't really work out for Bowen, and therefore I believe he can be classed as a Sleeper ahead of this season's drafts.

Lingard looks set to return to East London, and with players such as Fornals and Benrahma to contend with, Bowen faces a battle to start under Moyes. As long as you play with Live Lineup Changes on Fantrax, he's a great player to own. If he starts, he's likely to score well. This season I'll be taking punts on drafting rotational players with explosive potential such as Bowen.

Said Benrahma

Position: Forward

20/21 Points: 182 (136th overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 8.6

Recommended Draft Pick: 121 to 144 (12 Team League: Round 11-12)

Overview: A largely poor first campaign with the Hammers, showed potential with 8.6 points per start, hoping to establish himself in the side this season.

Like Bowen above, Said Benrahma is likely to be a Sleeper pick during draft season. The Algerian forward was largely disappointing during the 20/21 campaign after a big money move from Brentford. Benrahma never established himself under Moyes, and was a bit-part player for most of the season. He finished up as the 136th highest scoring player, but did manage to gain 7 attacking returns (1 goal, 6 assists) in under 1,500 minutes of play. However, if we delve into his stats from last season a little more, there is good potential there. Benrahma averaged 8.6 Points Per Start and 9 Ghost Points Per 90. Based on these stats, I would happily take a punt on him around Round 11 or 12. Maybe even Round 10.

Arthur Masuaku

Position: Defender

20/21 Points: 94.75 (243rd overall)

20/21 Points Per Start: 8.1

Recommended Draft Pick: 133 to 156 (12 Team League: Round 12-13)

Overview: Defender with explosive potential if he starts, worth a punt towards the end of the draft.

Arthur Masuaku looks good for an end of draft punt! The DR Congo international played well at times last season in a left wing-back role, but really struggled with injuries. I have a feeling that Moyes does really want to play with Masuaku and Coufal as wing-backs, and Cresswell as a left-sided centre-back. Hopefully Masuaku can prove his fitness and gain some good form during the opening few weeks of the season. He doesn't feature in any summer tournaments, and his DR Congo side did not qualify for the African Cup of Nations. So Masuaku should have a good pre-season and a non-disrupted campaign! Very late draft pick punt.
