Having the luxury to pick up free agent players all the way through a gameweek is one of the best and most important features of Draft Premier League. Keeping an extra spot open to be able to pick up a player who has a chance to score big could make or break your matchup. Every week we will go through the slate of matches and highlight players who are most likely available as free agent pickups, but also have the chance to score extremely well if given the chance in the starting XI.
To make open roster spots on your team, drop players or execute unbalanced trades where you give away more players than you receive.
Stream Your Way Through Gameweek 2
A fan favourite segment on the Key Pass Collective is taking on a new form for the 2021/22 season. Tottiandor, will highlight players likely available during the upcoming gameweek (under 45% ownership), with extremely high upside, who should definitely be started in DraftPL if given the nod by their respective managers. Accompanying our player selections, we have included projected fantasy points (abbreviated as PP) courtesy of our Inner Circle exclusive Weekly Projections.
Saturday 12:30 BST
LIV vs BUR
Joel Matip
Position: Defender
Team: Liverpool
Rostered: 41%
Projected Points (PP): 11.1
The Liverpool CB will have a whole bunch of aerials against Burnley and is highly likely (60%) to add a clean sheet as well.
Honourable Mentions: Harvey Elliott (PP: 10.3), Ashley Barnes (PP: 7.9)
Saturday 15:00 BST
AVL vs NEW; CRY vs BRF; LEE vs EVE; MCI vs NOR
Jeffrey Schlupp
Position: Midfielder
Team: Crystal Palace
Rostered: 5%
Projected Points: 9.7
The Palace outside midfielder is always a ghost point magnet when the Eagles have sufficient possession. That rule should hold this Saturday.
Honourable Mentions: Sergi Canos (PP: 12.5), Ryan Fraser (PP: 11.4), Jacob Murphy (PP: 9.6), Fernandinho (PP: 10.7)
Saturday 17:30 BST
WAT vs BHA
Peter Etebo
Position: Midfielder
Team: Watford
Rostered: 1%
Projected Points: 8.6
There is a certain mystery to the Watford lineup every week as they have so many similarly talented yet similarly unknown and unproven players in the squad. Etebo played a solid game in GW1, you could do far worse than streaming him if you are in a bind.
Honourable Mentions: Troy Deeney (PP: 7.8), Jakub Moder (PP: 5.6), Joel Veltman (PP: 13.1)
Sunday 14:00 BST
SOU vs MU; WOL vs TOT
Nathan Redmond
Position: Midfielder
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 30%
Projected Points: 9.1
Good old Nate Redmond could find himself playing up front and providing great value if Hasenhüttl opts for a reshuffle after the GW1 loss.
Honourable Mentions: Morgan Gibbs-White (PP: 8.9), Fabio Silva (PP: 8.9), Rayan Ait-Nouri (PP: 7.9)
Sunday 16:30 BST
ARS - CHE
Callum Hudson-Odoi
Position: Midfielder
Team: Chelsea
Rostered: 28%
Projected Points: 10.7
Hudson-Odoi will most likely not feature in this match as a starter, but if he does, he should be a beast anywhere he lines up (yes, even at wingback). Warning: you should really not count on streaming high upside players from this match.
Honourable Mentions: Mateo Kovacic (PP: 6.2), Albert Sambi Lokonga (PP: 6.3)
Monday 20:00 BST
WHU - LEI
I would advise against leaving it until the last game to stream a starting spot because pickings will be slim.
Marc Albrighton
Position: Midfielder
Team: Leicester
Rostered: 15%
Projected Points: 11.8
It is a shame Albrighton is not a regular in the Leicester lineup, because every time he features, he is a constant threat, who has a great floor as well due to the high volume of crosses he consistently delivers.
Honourable Mentions: Arthur Masukau (PP: 8.6), Luke Thomas (PP: 5.7)
