Gameweek 20 Waiver Wire
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Serge Aurier
Position: Defender
Team: Nottingham Forest
Rostered: 19%
Next Fixture: LEI (H)
Prospects: The legend/walking-red-card-about-to-happen has really found form lately for Forest, and more importantly Forest have slowly started to look better and better in recent games. The penalty shootout win against Wolves will have boosted the team's morale a whole lot and Maddison-less Leicester are nowhere near the force they can and maybe should be. A clean sheet isn't out of the question, but big Serge has been collecting ghosts like nobody's business.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Jeffrey Schlupp
Position: Midfielder
Team: Crystal Palace
Rostered: 5%
Next Fixture: CHE (A), MUN (H)
Prospects: This week's waiver article is chock-full of legends! Jeff, as we like to call Mr- Schlupp has been a fantasy stalwart for years as a solid ghoster and reliably good option for an attacking return every 5-6 starts. He has been getting semi-regular starts this year for Palace and with the Double Gameweek on the horizon, it may be time to go with Jeff again. The double looks scary at first, but considering the woeful state of Chelsea and United always being able to disappoint, I could see Palace come away with something.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Hakim Ziyech
Position: Midfielder
Team: Chelsea
Rostered: 38%
Next Fixture: CRY (H)
Prospects: Aubameyang, Sterling and Pulisic are injured, Felix could not last a full game without getting sent off, so by process of elimination, Ziyech is about to start a few games in a row for Chelsea. Put a wet towel on any expectation you have of this pickup turning your season around, but plugging Ziyech in your midfield for a few games will not hurt any team. Well maybe real life Chelsea, but you get my point. He gets points in Fantasy and that is all we care about.
Verdict: I would use a mid-range waiver pick or 5-7 FAB to get him.
Samuel Edozie
Position: Forward
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 8%
Next Fixture: EVE (A)
Prospects: 'Dozie lit it up ghost-points-wise in his 2 starts so far in the Premier League, but has been riding the pine for the last 2 games. Nathan Jones, while praising the youngster, clearly stated that his match fitness still needs to develop to be able to start a stretch of games in the EPL. After 2 sub appearances, the stage is set for him to annihilate Everton. Unfortunately, he is not a long-term hold in my opinion, unless the fitness issue goes away and he is able to keep Orsic at bay, but boy-oh-boy Everton should be a good matchup for him.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.
