Gameweek 27 Waiver Wire

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Lewis Dunk

Position: Defender

Team: Brighton

Rostered: 33%

Next 3 Fixtures: lee (a) & CRY (H)

Prospects: Nailed on CB along with Adam Webster (at least until Colwill is back in contention). Neither Brighton CB is a prolific scorer but they can do a job. Normally Dunk nor Webster are worthy of a stream but the DGW - against lowly Leeds & Palace - make them quite attractive this week. Veltman is the pick of the litter in terms of Brighton defenders that may be on your wire but Dunk & Webster are decent alternatives.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim (0-3) to get him.

Georginio Rutter

Position: Forward

Team: Leeds

Rostered: 10%

Next 3 Fixtures: bri (a)

Prospects: With Rodrigo out & Bamford misfiring (& always liable to pick up a knock), new manager Javi Gracia has finally turned to record signing, Georginio Rutter. He got a rare start against Chelsea over the weekend and while he didn't light it up, he showed some glimpses and picked up 5 points. Leeds face Brighton and you likely have better options this week, so he is more of a medium-term investment as the Yorkshire club do not blank in GW28 & have a DGW in GW29. If you can spare the roster spot this week and need a FWD, Rutter is your man.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim (0-3) to get him.

Armel Bella Kotchap

Position: Defender

Team: Southampton

Rostered: 7%

Next 3 Fixtures: mun (a) & BRF (H)

Prospects: He has been partnering Jan Bednarek in the Southampton back line for a few weeks with Mohammed Salisu out with a knock. It will be interesting to see who (if any) is supplanted by Salisu when he is fully fit. But for now, we have to assume that ABK has a great chance of starting this GW. And it is a DGW for the Saints - albeit a tricky one. It starts with a tough matchup away to a very wounded Man United but is softened a bit by Brentford at home. It is anyone's guess who will be the big ghoster amongst the Saints' CBs - it seems to rotate - but both ABK & Bednarek have it in their locker to pick up scary scores on their day. With 2 bites of the apple (presumably), they are decent DEF shouts this week. If either see the bench in the first matchup, immediately drop them for Salisu.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim (0-3) to get him.

Abdoulaye Doucoure

Position: Midfielder

Team: Everton

Rostered: 12%

Next 3 Fixtures: BRF (H)

Prospects: A fixture in Dyche's new look midfield 3 for Everton, Doucoure is an enigma. It's hard to tell when he is gonna go off but he has shown that he can at anytime. He did just that against Forest this past GW - bagging a goal but also dropping double digit ghost points in the process. At the same time, don't be surprised if he reverts back to a 4-5 point outing this GW. But he is worth the risk if you need some midfield upside. He also has this going for him - he does not blank in GW28. Even if you don't start him this GW, he is worth getting in early for the next GW.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim (0-3) to get him.
