Fantrax EPL: Stream Your Way Through Gameweek 8

Updated: May 20, 2022

Stream your way all the way through a gameweek is one of the best and most important features of Draft Premier League. Keeping an extra spot open to be able to pick up a player who has a chance to score big could make or break your matchup. Every week we will go through the slate of matches and highlight players who are most likely available as free agent pickups but also have the chance to score extremely well if given the chance in the starting XI.

Struggling to find an open spot on your roster to make the most of all this advice? Try executing an unbalanced trade where you give away more players than you receive.

Stream Your Way Through Gameweek 8

A fan favourite segment on the Key Pass Collective is taking on a new form for the 2021/22 season. Tottiandor will highlight players likely available during the upcoming gameweek (under 45% ownership), with extremely high upside, who should definitely be started in DraftPL if given the nod by their respective managers. Accompanying our player selections, we have included projected fantasy points (abbreviated as PP) courtesy of our Inner Circle exclusive Weekly Projections.

Saturday 12:30 BST

WAT vs LIV

James Milner

Position: Midfielder

Team: Liverpool

Rostered: 10%

With TAA seemingly healthy, old trustworthy Milner might be called upon in midfield with Jones picking up a knock on U21 international duty, Fabinho coming back late, and Thiago not yet fully fit. If he does indeed start, I will be looking to tie up my streaming in a nice bow before it even began by playing Milner in the first game of the GW.

Honourable Mentions: Keita (PP: 7.5), King (PP: 6.8)

Saturday 15:00 BST

SOU vs LEE, NOR vs BHA, AVL vs WOL, LEI vs MUN, MCI vs BUR

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Position: Defender

Team: Man City

Rostered: 30%

Pep Roulette is always in full blow after the international break. Cancelo, having started every game so far and playing a lot for Portugal during the break, could be given a rest in what everyone is anticipating to be one of the easiest fixtures in the calendar for City. I would start anyone who starts in the city lineup, especially defenders.

Nathan Redmond

Position: Midfielder

Team: Southampton

Rostered: 18%

12.1 projected points is a great target for this all-time fantasy favourite. The added appeal is that he looks to be first in line to take over JWP's set piece monopoly in the captain's absence through suspension. Redmond is definitely one to monitor for the upcoming fixtures as well as this weekend.

Honourable Mentions: Ake (PP: 11.2), Armstrong (PP: 11.2), Normann (PP: 10.8), Burn (PP: 9.3)

Saturday 17:30 BST

BRF vs CHE

Saul Niguez

Position: Midfielder

Team: Brighton

Rostered: 20%

Hear me out. I know he has been less than stellar in his limited time at Chelsea so far, but his skillset promises much more. If he is offered a chance to redeem himself, I suggest you offer him a chance as well. He may surprise you. (RLC, Barkley, CHO all decent options too)

Honourable Mentions: CHO (PP: 9.5), Barkley (PP: 9.0), Jensen (PP: 8.7)

Sunday 14:00 BST

EVE vs WHU

Arthur Masuaku

Position: Defender

Team: West Ham

Rostered: 3%

Masuaku is back healthy and is surely giving Moyes a headache on how he could integrate one of his favourite players into the starting XI that has been performing well so far. If he manages to find a way, do not sleep on this guy. He is a points machine.

Honourable Mentions: Vlasic (PP: 8.8), Mina (PP: 7.7), Iwobi (PP: 7.4)

Sunday 16:30 BST

NEW vs TOT

Steve Bergwijn

Position: Forward

Team: Spurs

Rostered: 34%

You all know I was tempted to put in Fraser here. Alas, the turmoil at the Toon Army is too high to be able to predict starters, let alone good points scorers, so I am going with a personal favourite of mine; Bergwijn. The Dutchman has quietly been having a decent season so far when given the chance by NES, and it should continue against lacklustre Newcastle.

Honourable Mentions: Gil (PP: 11.5), Murphy (PP: 10.5), Fraser (PP: 10.4)

Monday 20:00 BST

ARS vs CRY

I would advise against leaving it until the last game to stream a starting spot because pickings will be slim.

Jeffrey Schlupp

Position: Midfielder

Team: Palace

Rostered: 2%

Jeff yet again. I seem to repeat myself often in these articles. That said, Schlupp has brought home the bacon last GW, albeit from the bench. He looked sharp and agile and he will get you great points if he is starting.

Honourable Mentions: Holding (PP: 9), Lonokga (PP: 8.7), McArthur (PP: 7.2)
