23/24 Fulham Player Performance
Let's review how Fulham's players fared in 23/24, with an emphasis on their Draft Premier League fantasy assets. We'll also discuss any pertinent info regarding rotation, managerial tactics, and injuries below. What can we learn from their performance in the last campaign?

Fulham were a surprising package last season in terms of fantasy points, with plenty of players becoming under the radar success stories. More detail will follow below, but top of that list has to be top scorer Rodrigo Muniz who only burst onto the scene in GW23. He was given his chance through injury to Raul Jimenez, and he performed so well that January loan signing Armando Broja didn't get a sniff. The man he replaced, Jimenez was given a lot of patience by Marco Silva, as he got off to a very slow start, not registering an attacking return until GW12. But he put in some great performances over the next couple of months, not withstanding a ridiculous red card. Brazilian forward Willian was drafted pretty high given his age and risk of a move to Saudi in pre-season, and he proved to be a bit of an enigma, 8.7 PPS isn't horrendous, but it's also not great and he largely frustrated given he managed just 24 starts.
New signing Alex Iwobi was a late transfer from Everton, and was eased in slowly, which led to many questioning their decision to draft him. He was shunted all over the pitch within the attacking midfield positions and had some pretty underwhelming performances, resulting in him being dropped in a lot of leagues, especially when he left for AFCON. But if you held firm, you were rewarded with some huge scores at the back end of the season, 10 PPS is really not to be sniffed at! In a bit of running them here, fellow midfielder Andreas Pereira was out of sorts in the first quarter of the season, having his minutes managed and playing in wide positions, he was irrelevant as a fantasy asset at just 5.9 PPS up to GW10. But he really picked things up for the rest of the season, the key passes started flowing again and he was a very useful asset, scoring10.2 PPS.
One player who stood out as a huge improver was Jedi master, Antonee Robinson, who ghosted out of his mind, actually leading the whole league on 80 interceptions. He was an absolute monster, tirelessly working up and down the left flank, not only did he utilise defensive actions for his 9.5 gPPS, but he also delivered 6 assists for his team mates. A super solid and reliable defender, something that was very hard to come by last season. Tosin Adarabioyo had to be patient to get back into the team after starting the season injured, but he really lifted the quality in the Fulham back line on his return, and had some very nice spells as a Fantrax asset too. From GW 15 to 23 he was averaging 9.6 PPS, helped along by a significant number of defensive actions, particularly aerials and was also an aerial threat going forward scoring 2 goals. That form and his contract running down earned him a move to London rivals Chelsea.
23/24 Breakout Player
Rodrigo Muniz
Position: Forward
23/24 Points: 218.50 (40th best FWD)
23/24 Points Per Start: 11.5 (18 starts)
While he only ranks 40th for FWDs due to his limited starts (18), on a PPS basis (filtering for 6+ starts), Muniz actually ranks 16th, which is a pretty impressive given the depth of talent in the forward department last season. He was comfortably Fulham's top goal scorer with 9, and most of that came during a mad 8 game spelt after he broke into the team scoring 8 goals and averaging 17.7 PPS. Making him hands down one of the best free agency pickups of the season. His finishing and movement was exceptional and while the goals tailed off in the last few games, this was probably a bit of reverting to the mean given he generated 8.7 xG. The young Brazilian will surely be one to watch out for in next seasons drafts!
23/24 Fantasy Flop
Willian
Position: Forward
23/24 Points: 231 (32nd best FWD)
23/24 Points Per Start: 8.7 (24 starts)
Fulham didn't really have many flops, given the expectation levels for the team, so I'm going to have to pick on Willian here, who despite having a couple of decent spells was largely underwhelming, given an ADP of 73 would have made him a FWD2/3 on most rosters. Although he did nothing for the first 4 games, the early part of the seasons was his best spell, averaging 11 PPS from GW 5 to 16 scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. But after a short 3 game hiatus with a hamstring issue, he never came back the same player, he ticked along with ghost points but the spark was gone in the attacking third, with just 7.3 PPS rest of the season. He almost wasn't worth rostering for over half a season and that simply isn't good enough for a round 5/6 pick.
Injury Impact
Tosin Adarabioyo didn't manage to start a game until GW15 through a groin injury, which gave Tim Ream the opportunity to get significant game time.
Alex Iwobi's slows start through a hamstring injury and a jaunt to AFCON meant Bobby De-Cordova-Reid (who has now moved onto Leicester City ) got way more minutes than a player of his talents likely should.
It seemed as though Adama Traore could be quite an exciting signing for Fulham, but alas he was kept out for the vast majority of the season with a hamstring injury, managing his one and only start in GW38.
As mentioned above Raul Jimenez suffered a hamstring injury that put him out for 6 matches and ultimately lost his place in the team to Rodrigo Muniz.
Fulham's Overall Team Performance
The loss of talisman striker Aleksandar Mitrovic to the Saudi Pro League, put a huge dampener on expectations at Craven Cottage going into the season, however the boon of keeping Marco Silva as manager amid interest (from Saudi again) and the outstanding Joao Palhinha (Bayern) meant things were more stable than they appeared. Given the above Fulham could have easily fallen prey to second season syndrome, but the season felt strangely comfortable due to how bad the promoted teams ended up doing. 47 points and a 13th placed finish might not sound it, but it was a solid performance, and just consolidating a spot in the Premier League had to be the main goal. Fulham were wildly inconsistent, they could beat Arsenal one day, and lose at home to Burnley the next. Unlike in 22/23 where Fulham performed extremely well away from home (ranking 6th), it completely flipped, with Craven Cottage becoming more of a fortress, but with some shocking form away from home. Fulham had the 10th best record at home, winning 9 and drawing 2 games with a +7 goal difference, while away they ranked 15th with just 4 wins and 6 draws, and a -13 goal difference. Despite that reaching the semi-final of the League Cup was a huge positive especially given there really wasn't much in in the game they lost to eventual winners Liverpool. But overall, it was a solid season for Fulham and one that they will look to build on next season, but it will take significant investment to replace the likes of Bayern bound Palhinha.
Oh Adama..
