We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is. Ghost points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, shots on target, successful dribbles, interceptions, and tackles, among others. Identifying these points is essential for your Fantasy EPL prospects, and our Gameweek 10 Ghost Point Hunters article is here to help!

This Ghost Point Hunters article is based on the Fantrax Scoring System. Check out our Ghost Point Tracker page for the full list of Fantasy EPL players and their respective Ghost Point capabilities!
Gameweek 10 Ghost Point Hunters
We didn't care for that particular gameweek. But we move. There's always another opportunity to come back stronger. And now that it's Halloween week, it's only fitting that we get down to ghosting. In bright lights, we have Yasin Ayari, Pervis Estupinan, & Ola Aina. Meanwhile, we place Lewis Hall & Nelson Semedo in the Not So Fast category. And old favorites Pablo Sarabia and Crycencio Summerville are the One(s) To Watch. Finally, the end of an era is upon us with Andrew Robertson getting the Dr. Peter Venkman Award after what seemed like a lifetime of ghosting. Happy Halloween and happy ghosting!
Yasin Ayari
Position: Midfielder
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 10%
Ghost Points Per Start: 7.8
Ghost Points Last GW: 10
Prospects: This Brighton team is so hard to pin down - there are multiple players for each position and all of them are pretty good. The midfield, in particular, is fairly difficult to predict (other than seemingly Mitoma & Baleba). Milner, Wieffer, Gilmour, Enciso, Adingra, & Minteh have all gotten minutes. Gruda, March, & O'Riley are also waiting in the wings. Add Yasin Ayari to the list. The 21 year old Swede, who has had loan spells at Coventry and Blackburn, was supposed to be one for the future. But the future is now.
Ayari has now started back to back games and is coming off a double digit performance v Wolves. These ghosties stemmed from 3 Key Passes, 2 Tackles Won, 1 ACNC, 2 Clearances, 1 Successful Dribble, & 1 Aerial. He's an all action midfielder who takes some set pieces and also gets into dangerous spots. He has proven to be a decent streamer who, like many of his teammates, just needs minutes. Ayari has the role for now but it may not last. So make hay while the sun shines if you need midfield depth.
Verdict: Pick him up!
Pervis Estupinan
Position: Defender
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 43%
Ghost Points Per Start: 7
Ghost Points Last GW: 14.25
Prospects: The Brighton merry-go-round continues - let's go from midfield to defense, from Ayari to Estupinan. We had highlighted the Ecuadorian as an undervalued asset in the draft prior to the negative news regarding his injury. We know what he can do when he's fit and consistently starting. Unfortunately, he hasn't been for much of this season. So when he does get a start, we like to jump back on the bandwagon.
Alas, he was in the starting XI over the weekend v Wolves and he did not disappoint. His mouthwatering 14+ scary scores came from 1 Key Pass, 1 Shot on Target, 3 Tackles Won, 1 ACNC, 2 Interceptions, 5 Clearances, 1 Blocked Shot, & 2 Aerials. In short, Estupinan was back to his old self. This was one of the few chances to see him in Hurzeler's system. Early returns look good. But as we've said ad nauseum with Brighton, his ROS prospects will depend on consistent minutes. They just aren't there yet. If you want to gamble on a potential DEF1 (if he nails it down) for a relatively cheap price, Estupinan fits the bill. Be prepared for some headaches, though.
Verdict: This would be a tricky trade as valuations will vary dramatically and he just came off a good week. If you want to be patient, wait for another GW in which he is benched to pounce (could be this weekend).
Ola Aina
Position: Defender
Team: Nottingham Forest
Rostered: 40%
Ghost Points Per Start: 8
Ghost Points Last GW: 9.25
Prospects: Let's discuss the brick wall that is the Nottingham Forest defense. My how the tables have turned with this team. Nuno has them looking like a dumbed down version of his old super Wolves teams. And defensive solidity has been been the name of the game. They've conceded the second fewest goals (7) in the league - behind only Liverpool - which has made their defenders very attractive. Up steps Ola Aina, a no-nonsense right back that is quietly getting the job done. We've shouted out Milenkovic previously but his teammate has been ghosting better of late.
Aina posted a tidy 9+ ghosties v Leicester last Friday. These came from 3 Tackles Won, 1 ACNC, 5 Clearances, 3 Successful Dribbles, & 1 Aerial. He is mostly defensive but can also get forward when needed, which gives him a bit more upside. Now the schedule has been relatively kind and we've seen Nuno teams falter before. But it's nice to bet on a good floor for defenders, especially with the new scoring changes. Aina is not a sexy pick but a solid one.
Verdict: Pick him up!
Not So Fast:
Lewis Hall (Newcastle United DEF; 10.75 ghosts): Coming into the new campaign, we had high hopes for this guy. He proved at Chelsea and early doors at Newcastle that he can ghost in bunches. But he was never given consistent minutes and has largely been a dud this season when he has started (7.1 GPPS coming into GW9). However, he reemerged over the weekend with an impressive display, nicking an assist and dropping double digit scary scores (including 4 Key Passes & 2 ACNCs) to boot. Great to see, especially for those who gave him a stream, but we're hesitant to say with confidence that this will continue. With Anthony Gordon out, he was on more sets, which helps, but this will likely be short-lived. Newcastle also has failed to keep it tight at the back, which would dent any of Hall's scores even if his ghosts do persist. He's one to watch but don't get your hopes up just yet.
Nelson Semedo (Wolves DEF; 12 ghosts): This guy; he continues to be a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. He can pop up for big performances and then quickly revert to a shrinking violet. That's why we weren't really moved 2 GWs ago when he posted decent points (only 7ish ghosts but he nicked an assist) against Man City. But he did actually do some ghosting this GW, dropping a dozen scary scores v the Seagulls. Is this the dawn of a new era for the frustrating yet talented Portuguese right back? Well, we're skeptical, and with good reason. He bagged 12 Clearances over the weekend - that isn't sustainable. And while he's been in a wingback in a back 3 lately, which may help to explain the renaissance, he's played that role before to uncritical acclaim. Despite this performance, his GPPS this season is still less than 7, which fits his historic pattern (he posted a 6.5 GPPS in 23/24). Having said all that, he can still do a job and has a good opportunity v Palace at home this upcoming GW to prove that this isn't an aberration.
One(s) To Watch:
Pablo Sarabia (Wolves MID; 5.5 ghosts): Madre mia, finally we have a Sarabia sighting! At long last, the Spaniard got some meaningful minutes over the weekend. Granted, it took a poor first half and an injury to Mario Lemina, but Sarabia secured his most extensive cameo (45 minutes) of the season. His previous two outings were for a combined 26 minutes and came way back in August. While we do not know what he did to get in Gary O'Neil's doghouse, hopefully this is a sign that he is being let out. This Wolves team is screaming out for creativity and he, along with Tommy Doyle we suppose, is the only one who can provide it. He served up 3 Key Passes in his brief time v Brighton and is poised to replicate his 23/24 form when he dropped over 10 points per start. With the soft schedule and dearth of midfielders on the wire, he's one of the few upside punts in this department. Let's hope O'Neil has finally seen the light.
Crycencio Summerville (West Ham United FWD; 11 ghosts): Taken by many in the fourth round of the draft, "Cree" has been one of the bigger busts. He's only started one game and rewarded managers with one single solitary point in that outing. With Kudus out for at least three matches due to a red card suspension, we were hoping he'd get the nod over the weekend. While he didn't - cheers, Lopetegui - he did come on at halftime and completely changed the game. Twenty plus points and 11 ghosts (including 3 Key Passes, 2 ACNCs, & 3 Successful Dribbles) later, Cree is ready to be rostered again. While he won't ghost like he did at Leeds without the requisite set pieces, he can still shine. Similar to Sarabia above, we hope this weekend's performance was enough to convince the manager that he is ready for some consistent starts. But these gaffers are notoriously stubborn. Fingers crossed.
Category Killer Winners:
Key Passes: Phil Foden (5)
Successful Dribbles: Callum Hudson-Odoi (6)
Aerials: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (7)
Accurate Crosses Not Corners (ACNCs): Savio (4)
Tackles Won: Daniel Munoz (5)
Interceptions: Moises Caicedo (6)
Dr. Peter Venkman Award:
Andrew Robertson (Liverpool DEF; 2.5 ghosts): The fall from grace has been pretty astounding. Once a fantasy and real life darling, Andrew Robertson looks washed at the moment. In GW 9, the trend continued as he was sat down by Saka and conceded a goal within the first five minutes. This was en route to 0.5 total points and just 2.5 ghosts (from 1 Tackle Won, 2 Clearances, & 1 Aerial). He could legitimately be dropped for Tsimikas as things stand as he is already seeing the bench in some European fixtures. Fantasy-wise, his value is in the gutter. His GPPS is hovering around 5 - less than Yoane Wissa. It was 11.8 last season!
Robertson has been living off clean sheets this campaign but the schedule now gets tougher and he has nowhere to hide when they concede. Despite remaining on some set pieces, he just isn't the same player as he was under Klopp. In short, the Slot Machine isn't paying out for the Scot. The fullbacks just aren't as adventurous and full of fantasy points in this new system - even Trent's ghosts have taken a hit, falling from 10+ in 23/24 to around 8 this season. This doesn't bode well for ole Robbo. Trade him out on name recognition if you still can!
