Waiver Wire Gameweek 11
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 11 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (Ros) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Andrew Robertson (Ros 16%)
Prospects: Robertson made Liverpool’s Premier League XI for the first time this season, seemingly as a direct response from Slot to a struggling Milos Kerkez. While his fantasy output under Slot hasn’t been what it once was, we haven’t really seen him play in this role without Trent Alexander-Arnold pushing high up the pitch. A near 13-point return, including a clean sheet, is a promising start if Slot plans to rely on him to shore things up defensively going forward. City next weekend is probably not the time to start him, but Liverpool’s fixtures afterward could offer real potential for the Scotsman, provided he keeps his place and Liverpool turn things around.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him
Mikel Merino (Ros 26%)
Prospects: Merino came on for Gyökeres at halftime during Arsenal’s weekend fixture against Burnley. At first, it was unclear whether the change was tactical or injury-related, but after reports that the Swede didn’t feature in training Monday, we may have our answer. It’s now sounding like he will miss the upcoming UCL fixture, and possibly more, with a muscular issue. Arteta just said today, "[Gyokeres] is definitely not available. He didn’t train today. We need to do some more tests and scans over the next few days to understand the extent of the injury." With Havertz (and Jesus) still not fully integrated, a Merino start this weekend is looking more and more likely. The midfielder turned striker is a speculative add as the Gunners travel to Sunderland. Keep an eye on pressers!
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him
Diego Gómez (Ros 6%)
Prospects: Many were unlucky to face the Paraguayan this past weekend, while others were rewarded for jumping on the upside stream. Gómez, making his fifth start of the season, delivered 35 points with two goals. The main question around him has always been his ability to maintain a starting spot. With Mitoma still sidelined, I don’t mind streaming him over Brighton’s favorable upcoming fixtures, but I wouldn’t spend big chasing last week’s score. A note that even without the 2 goals, his ghosts were solid in the win vs Leeds.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him
