Waiver Wire Gameweek 12
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 12 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Conor Bradley (Ros 26%)
Prospects: This is one of those speculative high upside waiver adds that could turn out to be a masterstroke or a mistake in 2 weeks. Trent came off injured in last weekend's game against Villa in the first half with an apparent hamstring injury. The verdict on his injury was first tweeted by Paul Joyce a reliable Liverpool journalist saying that the injury was only going to rule Trent out for "a couple of weeks". Conveniently this diagnosis gave Liverpool the green light to withdraw him from the England squad. He goes on to say that he is NOT ruled out for the Southampton game yet. In my opinion Trent will be in the starting XI come the Sunday after the break. That said, especially those managers who roster Trent will be smacking their heads against the wall if they miss out on a potential haul because he ended up not being risked with a view to the week after, which has Liverpool play Everton, Real Madrid and Man City in the space of a week.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 3-4 FAB to get him.
Harry Wilson (Ros 15%)
Prospects: Had the former Liverpool winger's goal not been ruled out against Palace, he would have ended up scoring 4 in 2 weeks while not starting any games in that stretch, a remarkable achievement even with 3 goals to his name. Marco Silva was adamant, that Wilson's omission in the starting XI was not due to lack of effort or skill, but down to him as manager and vowed to rectify that in the near future. This was after Wilson's brace that won them the game 2 weeks ago. He went on to bench him again last weekend, only for the Welshman to sub on and get a goal again. Surely, Silva has learned from his mistakes and will give Wilson a starting berth post-IB. With Adama, Nelson, Iwobi and ESR also playing well, it will be tough for Wilson to nail down a spot long-term, but could take his chance and run with it. A matchup vs. Wolves could be just the fixture he needs to force Silva to keep handing him starts.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 3-4 FAB to get him.
Matt O'Riley (Ros 16%)
Prospects: If you are a member of the Draft PL discord , especially the Inner Circle exclusive channels, you might be forgiven for starting to gag when you see the former Celtic midfielder's name mentioned in articles. It is fair to say that hype around O'Riley started as early as DraftLad's new transfer analysis, and with a small hiatus due to his injury, has been growing ever since. A substitute appearance capped by a winning goal against Manchester City has made the excitement go into overdrive. This blurb is mostly for those, who were not subject to the aforementioned hullabaloo and noticed the Irishman last weekend as he sank the Champions. Here are the CliffsNotes. He is the midfield diamond that will make Brighton click even more. He attacks, tracks back, scores goals and provides assists. If you are in a league where he is free, grab him now and don't look back.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 25-28 FAB to get him.
Dean Huijsen (Ros 3%)
Prospects: The Dutch-Spaniard replaced Senesi early in the loss to Brentford and was decent ending up with 5.5 points in 22 minutes. This is a speculative add as the Cherries play relatively early in the gameweek to afford you the chance to pivot to a different streamer. Brighton at home is a relatively good game to play for defenders from a statistical standpoint and that is partly why Draftlad has Huijsen projected for a score of 9.3 next weekend.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Mathias Jensen (Ros 33%)
Prospects: Jensen returned to the starting lineup after an injury layoff and 2 sub appearances in the last 2 weeks. His return left a lot to be desired, only scoring 3.5 points in a 3-2 win for the Bees. He has only managed a double-digit return in one game this season vs. Southampton where he also got an assist. His inclusion here is mostly based on Brentford's form and attacking production and their upcoming schedule of Everton and Leicester in the next 2. If you are struggling for mids, he is a player you could pick up and plug in to shore up your team as a MID4-5.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 3-5 FAB to get him.
Keane Lewis-Potter (Ros 30%)
Prospects: KLP has been getting consistent minutes lately as he claimed victory in his fight with Schade for a starting spot in Brentford's attack. He has already provided 3 assists so far and has often found himself in great attacking positions but is yet to find himself on the scoresheet from an xG of 0.73. As mentioned above, the next 2 games for Brentford look great and KLP will do his utmost to finally break his duck this season and contribute to this high flying attack.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
