Waiver Wire Gameweek 13

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 13 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Nelson Semedo (Ros 27%)

Prospects: The former Barcelona man has been quietly ghosting very well lately on a resurgent Wolves team that has found its rhythm in attack, especially. They are facing Bournemouth, who, on the contrary, have had a few down weeks since their historic win against Man City, with 2 defeats in a row. He 's averaged a quality 8 gPPS in the last 3 and has been able to score both attacking and defensive points too. For example, he has only had 3 games this season without a KP, 3 without a tackle won, and 1 without a clearance. With great fixtures up until mid-January, Semedo should be a longer-term pickup this week.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 3-6 FAB to get him.

Ryan Christie (Ros 32%)

Prospects: Christie may have finally had the rest he needed to complete 90 minutes next weekend, as he tacked on a week to his IB with a suspension for 5 yellow cards. He runs, collects yellows and shoots from range. And we love him for 2 of those qualities. He should walk back into the Cherries' starting lineup and hopefully bring his shooting boots with him. He is usually good for 7-8 ghosts and pops up with the odd return. He should be a solid MID4-5 for any team vying for such a thing.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 3-4 FAB to get him.

Igor Thiago (Ros 25%)

Prospects: The Bees' record signing is finally back fit and played a few sub minutes last weekend to signal his proximity to match fitness. The Brazilian attacker was scoring goals left, right and centre all through pre-season and got everyone at Brentford very excited, only for him to be cruelly sidelined with a knee injury until now. Brentford have been great this season without him and Toney in the team, so Frank has had the luxury to ease him into the first XI, but rest assured, he was signed to be the heir to Toney, so once he is fully fit, he will have the opportunity to prove himself. Outing Keane Lewis-Potter or pushing Damsgaard back to midfield (possible with Norgaard suspended) may be his best chances to crack the XI in the short to medium term.

Verdict:  I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 10-12 FAB to get him.

Mason Mount (Ros 32%)

Prospects: Hear me out. Amorim and Mount have been doing the dance in the media ever since the Portuguese has been announced. Mount has been a shadow of his former self since arriving at Old Trafford and the positions and roles ETH had him playing in did not help. In theory, one of the 10s in a narrow 343 system should be ideal for the former Cobham grad to reignite his career. He is an easy and cheap grab with no downside (an easy drop if it doesn't work out) but great upside. Amorim has already spoken of the need to rotate with the busy schedule and will be surely trying everything to find his best XI. Mount looks like he'll get a shot sometime soon.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-4 FAB to get him.

Dango Outtara (Ros 22%)

Prospects: Dango is back from injury, and he came on and looked bright in the defeat to Brighton last week. With Wolves up next, he could be in line for a recall to the XI proper as Iraola looks to stop the rot after two defeats in a row. The versatile attacker is a sure-fire fantasy starter whenever in the starting lineup, especially against lower-ranked opponents (of whom Wolves & Ipswich, 2 of their next 3, are).

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.

Ismaila Sarr (Ros 30%)

Prospects: I cannot believe Sarr is still only 27% rostered. I was trying to negotiate a deal and reluctantly offered out Sarr with the hope of the sweetener sealing a trade for me, only to hear back, that Sarr had been on free agency/waiver up until that day in my opponent's home league. I was amazed. The former Watford and Marseille man had been the brightest Palace attacker since Eze's injury and offers the biggest goal threat in the whole team. Newcastle are far from the solid defensive team they once were, so pacey clinical attackers, like Sarr should be able to score big against them.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
