This article will focus on trade advice that highlights players that are either worth trading in on a low, or trading out on a high. This could involve players who could see their minutes reduced, have a purple patch come to an end, or on the flip side involve players who might be starting to heat up. This article will also feature advice and strategy tips from our very own Draft Genie, and his interesting style of playing the game.

Players To Trade-In
This section will focus on players to target in your trade offers. Usually there are two types of players to trade-in. The ones you "buy low" on, who may be in a poor patch of form, injured, or not seeing consistent minutes with all that about to change. The second is where you "buy high". While that will sound contradictory, these players could be showing no signs of slowing down and are en-route to a breakout season. You want to try and trade-in these players before they become unattainable, even if it involves offering more than what their draft-day or early-season value was.
Amad Diallo (MUN - MID)
Analysis: Diallo is going to be integral to Amorim this season, and unless we see a very surprise signing in the January, he will be part of that first choice XI. Diallo was someone I was really high on in pre-season, and for a good reason. He showed last season that if given the minutes he will perform. He is not really showing any signs of slowing down this year. In his 7 starts he has a PPS of 16.2. While that may be skewed by two very high scores, it shows his ceiling is that of a MID1, but his consistency will need to improve. I do think under Amorim, Amad can make himself a truly set and forget MID2-3. Just this week he managed 4.25 points off the bench in his half-time sub.
Amad's versatility will have him playing both wingbacks, and even a chance to start in one of the inside forward positions depending on the form of others, and the setup Amorim chooses. He is the only United player I am eager to trade in right now, with a lot of inconsistency being shown by the other assets right now, especially the attackers. How cheap can you get him? Well that will really depend. For example, I just won't trade him away unless its for an elite elite player, and a lot of managers may want to see how he pans out given his ceiling instead of trading him away, but there will be those potentially looking to get away from the United rotation/inconsistency.
Trade Offer Value: I would start by offering out players such as: Smith-Rowe, Andreas P, and Gibbs-White for Amad. Throw in a DEF3 or some FAB as well. I would also offer out forwards such as: Johnson, Jimenez, and a revived Evanilson for him.
Players To Trade-OUT
This section will focus on players that you should be actively trying to trade out over the next week or so. These players could be on course to see a minute reduction or be having a bad season that it seems they can't recover from. A lot of times name value players will feature here, as you will still find managers who believe they can return to their glory days. Each season brings new challenges and as we have seen even the very best assets can fall off a cliff in just a single season (Rashford of 2024). Look to trade out these players before their value becomes so low that you may need to consider dropping them.
Dominic Solanke (TOT - FWD)
Analysis: Solanke has been very frustrating for managers the last few months, and Spurs as a whole are just too inconsistent to trust. They thump City one week, then barely produce a chance vs. Bournemouth not long after. Solanke is very goal dependent and that will not change. With the likes of Son and Maddison not really in their best form so far, Solanke's service is just not what he needs right now. I would strongly suggest trading out Solanke to a manager who believes they are "buying low". Yes, Solanke will have those games he gets 2 goals and an assist, but for someone taken in the 2nd round he is definitely not repaying managers in that same value. He is right now more of a lower FWD2, and I do not see him jumping up to the FWD1 category at least while Ange is still around. While Solanke is not quite a panic sell yet, I would be looking to actively trade him out, even for a smidge of a loss.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer out Solanke for Diaz, Cunha, Son and Jackson. You will definitely need to throw in a +1 to have any chance at any of these assets. Players such as: Rogers, Cook, Delap, and Ndiaye would make good sweeteners.
Gabriel Martinelli (ARS - MID)
Analysis: This pains me as I am a huge fan of Martinelli, and drafted him in most of my leagues in the 3rd round. Martinelli has only started twice in his last 4 outings, including a very disappointing 70 minutes in the midweek game to United. It seems Arteta is leaning towards giving Trossard the bulk of starts for now. While we have seen this change back and forth so often, Martinelli isn't even making sub appearances which is a bit worrying. I would be looking to actively trade out Martinelli, especially to the manger who has Trossard, they may give you the best value. Trading out Martinelli before his inevitable benching on the weekend could be your last chance to get decent value. Of course with Arteta who knows, he may be reluctant to change a winning team, but that still won't take away from Martinelli most likely being the first player to be subbed off. Despite a friendly festive fixture list, you may be better off trading for a more secure asset. I would not sell Martinelli for pennies, if you can't get back good value pray for a start soon, and sell after a hopefully better outing.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer out Martinelli, for more secure assets like: Tielemans, Damsgaard, and Madueke. Throw in some FAB if needed. If you are set on the upside play try swapping Martinelli for Doku, he has way more upside given he is on City, and is a lot more likely to start. You will need to throw in a DEF3/MID4 there though.
