This article will focus on trade advice that highlights players that are either worth trading in on a low, or trading out on a high. This could involve players who could see their minutes reduced, have a purple patch come to an end, or on the flip side involve players who might be starting to heat up. This article will also feature advice and strategy tips from our very own Draft Genie, and his interesting style of playing the game.

Players To Trade-In
This section will focus on players to target in your trade offers. Usually there are two types of players to trade-in. The ones you "buy low" on, who may be in a poor patch of form, injured, or not seeing consistent minutes with all that about to change. The second is where you "buy high". While that will sound contradictory, these players could be showing no signs of slowing down and are en-route to a breakout season. You want to try and trade-in these players before they become unattainable, even if it involves offering more than what their draft-day or early-season value was.
Morgan Gibbs-White (NOT - MID)
Analysis: Gibbs-White has been having a quietly good resurgence since his return from injury. Three of his last five starts have resulted in double digit points, and he seems to be getting back the decent floor he once had. While I am not holding out hope that he will return to 11+ PPS asset he was last season, he definitely will be a solid MID2 for the rest of the season, assuming things don't revert back to his early season start.
Gibbs-White is a talented player in real life, and key to the Forest attack. Forest have been doing really well this season, and the more Gibbs-White continues to pitch in with, the better they are. I do think you can get Gibbs-White for cheaper than what he may be worth. For starters, if a manager held him through his injury/poor form, they could be open to selling high with the fear he could have a downturn in output at anytime. His early subs could make managers be keen to bring in a 90 minute asset for Gibbs-White. He is a solid target for this week, and should be attainable.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer out assets like Tielemans, Guimaraes, Damsgaard, and Bernardo Silva 1:1 for Gibbs-White. Players like Enzo, Cook, and Rogers are also good 1:1 assets to offer out. If you need to add a sweetener, look to add in 10-15 FAB or a DEF3 like Mazraoui or Burn.
Players To Trade-OUT
This section will focus on players that you should be actively trying to trade out over the next week or so. These players could be on course to see a minute reduction or be having a bad season that it seems they can't recover from. A lot of times name value players will feature here, as you will still find managers who believe they can return to their glory days. Each season brings new challenges and as we have seen even the very best assets can fall off a cliff in just a single season (Rashford of 2024). Look to trade out these players before their value becomes so low that you may need to consider dropping them.
Morgan Rogers (AVL- MID)
Analysis: Rogers is coming off a shockingly good outing vs. Manchester City. He also currently boasts a 9.5 PPS with 5 goals and 3 assists to his name, but is an extremely boom or bust type of asset. His average gPPS sits at 5.7 and unless he gets a return, he will more likely than not get you under 7 points. Only 2 of his last 7 games have been in the double digits, and of course he had returns in them. This is the perfect asset to sell high. Coming off a a great game vs. a tough team and on a team that is always a top 4 contender, Rogers can likely get you back solid value if you strike while the iron's hot.
I personally see Rogers as a MID3/4 for the rest of the season. He's not really reliable, but at the same time if you set and forget him he will have weeks in which he can win your gameweek. The frustration will come from the over50% of gameweeks in which he gets you 5 points. You would be better off aiming for a more reliable MID3 who can ghost better, maybe a slightly lower ceiling, but more reliable.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer out Rogers for mids like: Gibbs-White and Enzo Fernandez. You could aim for forwards like Sarr, and a struggling Pedro (but you may need to add a sweetener for the latter).
Strategy Section
This section will highlight some of my unique strategies I use in Fantrax, and how you can apply them to your own style. I will look to discuss trends I am seeing in leagues, or tactics that I may shift to, that will better my chances of winning my league. A lot of these strategies could involve a high-risk high-reward approach, or be tactics I see my fellow managers using that I will be advocating against.
Players To Hold/Pick-Up Through The Fixture Congestion
Analysis: With the month of December coming to an end, teams have had a lot of fixtures, and that could mean upcoming rotation for the tired legs to prevent injuries. I will be looking at players that are lower than 40% rostered that would be good pick-up and hold players if you have the room/flexibility in case they start one of the next two. If they don't start in the weekend fixtures, then drop when lineups come out.
Harvey Elliott (M, LIV) - A common name among Fantrax managers, could he give the in-form Szobo a rest? Worth a stash with Leicester next.
Crysencio Summerville (F, WHU) - Southampton next, drop if he doesn't start that one, since Liverpool is on the weekend.
Harry Maguire (D, MUN) - Should still start v. Wolves, worth a grab, easy drop if not starting.
Julio Enciso (M, BHA) - Normally I'm all out on Brighton midfielders. Good matchup vs. Brentford, and if anything else good late game coverage this week.
Eddie Nketiah (F, CRY) - Could give Sarr or Mateta a breather vs. Bournemouth, or more likely vs. Saints. That's the fixture you want him to go in.
Enes Unal (F, BOU) - Could come in if Iraola decides to rest key players vs. Palace. Upside FWD3 stash.
Antony (M, MUN) - Only because it's Wolves this week. Could get a start if Rashford is still out, and Amorim goes for a major reshuffle in attack/wing-back.
Vladmir Coufal (D, WHU) - Southampton next, was a monster vs. Bournemouth, DEF1 upside this week.
Chelsea Attackers (Nkunku, Felix, Dewsbury-Hall) - The first two are higher than the roster %, but worth mentioning. Stash Chelsea attackers, especially with Jackson on 4 YC, and Enzo potentially looking to freshen things up either vs. Fulham or Ipswich.
