Waiver Wire Gameweek 18

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 18 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (Ros) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Jake O'Brien (Ros 35%)

Prospects: Over the last 6 gameweeks, Burnley have only scored 5 goals, which is the 2nd fewest of all teams in the league. Typically we would back the home teams for scoring goals and winning their games, but the Clarets have actually lost their last 4 home games and have only scored twice, which is only one goal more than Wolves, the worst team in the league. So now it feels quite obvious to back the Everton defence, as they also have the 5th best record of all away teams over the last 4 away games of all clubs. O'Brien and Mykolenko are probably the only 2 Toffee defenders you can grab on waivers, and given O'Brien's higher production of 7.0 gPPS with a 13.4 FPts ceiling, that's the pick we think you should go with.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him

Brenden Aaronson (Ros 34%)

Prospects: After starting 9 games in a row, Aaronson was then benched for 3 consecutive games. It seemed a bit odd as the American MID was actually contributing to the goals that Leeds were scoring during that run, as he himself got a goal along with 3 assists. That being said, he was reintroduced into the starting XI against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 17, as the Whites absolutely demolished the Eagles in a massive 4-1 win, where Aaronson picked up yet another assist. Although his 5.8 gPPS isn't fantastic viewing, he has actually managed to get 2 assists in his last 3 appearances, so he's definitely one of the more in form Leeds assets at the moment. If you need a MID-4/5 this weekend, he's a solid shout.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him

Kevin (Ros 27%)

Prospects: It's the moment Kevin-believers were all waiting for, a massive double-digit score of 16 FPts in Gameweek 17, his highest score of the season so far. In 77 minutes against Nottingham Forest, the Brazilian won a penalty, got an assist and had 3 successful dribbles, amongst a spattering of other scoring categories. Although he lost his starting spot for a few games, he should now be nailed in the Fulham squad, as the likes of Iwobi and Chukwueze are away at AFCON, and Harry Wilson may have even picked up a small knock against Forest, after being subbed off late in the game. Kevin's 12.6 gPP90 is the best of all his teammates, so as long as he's starting games and playing majority of the minutes available to him, expect some tasty scores. West Ham are an excellent opponent for forwards as well.
