Waiver Wire Gameweek 19

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 19 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Neco Williams (Ros 26%)

Prospects: Nottingham Forest seem to be the real deal at the moment. Crazy to think they sit 4th in the league table and show no signs of slowing down. The Tricky Trees are currently tied for the most clean sheets (7) this season, which seem more likely than their ghost points. You'll want a piece of this pie while it's available, especially from an asset that offers some attacking threat.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Dean Huijsen (Ros 37%)

Prospects: According to our fixture difficulty tracker, Bournemouth defenders have the 2nd best fixture rating over the next couple of gameweeks. The Cherries currently sit 6th in the Premier League and seem to have no fear in battling with the "big boys" of the Prem, after recent wins versus Spurs and Manchester United. Huijsen and his teammates have now kept back-to-back clean sheets in the league and he leads his compatriots in ghost points production with 9.9 gPPS. Huijsen has also shown he has an eye for goal, with 2 in his last 5 starts, which indicative of a great ceiling for one of the best ghosting defenders around at the moment.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Paul Onuachu (Ros 0%)

Prospects: Tall Paul might finally be a nailed and reliable asset as a FWD-3 for Fantrax managers. Onuachu ghosted quite well in GW18, scoring 10 ghost points, while topping the shots attempted (8) and aerials won (10) of all assets for the gameweek. Juric favours the wingback system, particularly using them to feed his strikers with crosses into the box. This should suit Onuachu perfectly and hopefully it can help the Saints turn the tide in their bid to avoid relegation.

Verdict:  I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Matt Doherty (Ros 11%)

Prospects: New manager Vitor Pereira has hit the ground running since his appointment with back-to-back wins in the league. He's even stuck with the back-3 formation with one of the main benefactors being old boy Doherty. Doherty scored 15.75 and 16.75 FPts with the first haul including an assist and the latter even having a yellow card. Sure, both scores are inflated with a clean sheet each, but the Irish defender now has 2 attacking returns in 4 games! If he can relive some of his glory days, Doherty is an easy DEF-3/4 pick, despite the tough run of fixtures on the horizon.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Matt O'Riley (Ros 19%)

Prospects: Matty is back! Owners would have understandably dropped O'Riley back into the waiver pool after his absence from the first team due to injuries and his last start having been underwhelming due to an own goal. However, the Danish MID ghosted quite well against Brentford, despite not monopolising the set pieces this game. In 66 minutes, 15 ghost points is nothing to be sniffed at. He might not start in GW19 due to the quick turn around and him building up his physicality to suit the league, but he could be a smart stash for the long term as he is showing signs of improving game by game.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Brajan Gruda (Ros 5%)

Prospects: There's been a lot of hype around Gruda since his transfer into the club. Especially since Hürzeler hyped him up as one of the main contributors to implementing his philosophy. Gruda got the most ghost points (16.5) of all Brighton assets in GW18. This score included 5 key passes, 2 successful dribbles and a shot on target, which was from a direct free kick! He seems to have multiple avenues to points and could be a real gem MID option for the rest of Brighton's season. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
