Waiver Wire Gameweek 20

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 20 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (Ros) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Ferdi Kadioglu (Ros 23%)

Prospects: Over the past 3 gameweeks, Kadioglu has had some very interesting scores. 14.75 FPts with a clean sheet against Sunderland, 1.75 FPts against Arsenal after conceding 2 goals and most recently a 15.25 FPts score after conceding 2 goals to West Ham but also getting an assist. It should be noted that in the game against the Gunners, he was actually deployed as a right-sided midfielder but in the other 2 games he played as a left-back. In reality, any game against Arsenal, the best team in the league, should be taken with a grain of salt. So the real reason we're suggesting him this weekend is because he's playing Burnley. Kadioglu has been a main feature on corners for Brighton, taking all 5 against West Ham during Gameweek 19. The Clarets have only scored 6 goals over their last 8 games, meaning there's a chance that Kadioglu can get returns on both sides of the pitch.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him

Joelinton (Ros 39%)

Prospects: Joelinton is back and with a bang! Sure, there's some Burnley-tax in his most recent performance, but he still managed to drop his highest score of the season so far. His 23.75 FPts haul against the Clarets included his first goal of the season, along with 4 key passes, 6 aerials, a couple of interceptions and some other defensive contributions such as tackles won and clearances. Although Newcastle are facing Crystal Palace next, the Eagles have actually been the worst team in the league over the past 4 gameweeks. Crystal Palace have only scored 2 goals and conceded 9, which is the 2nd most goals conceded of all teams over this 4 game period. So this is probably one of your best opportunities to jump on Joelinton early, as he also has Leeds and Wolves on the horizon.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him

Kevin Santos Lopes de Macedo (Ros 34%)

Prospects: After Kevin's underwhelming score of 3 FPts against West Ham, a team that looks doomed for relegation these days, it's not surprising that managers must have rage dropped the Brazilian. However, he really should be a mainstay, especially as it's very difficult to find reliable FWDs this season, especially in the wake of AFCON. In Gameweek 19, Kevin silenced his doubters again with a 12.5 ghost point performance against Crystal Palace. He recorded 2 key passes, 1 shot on target, 1 ACNC and 4 dribbles. In fact, Kevin actually leads the Cottagers in successful dribbles with 32 of them, which is quite impressive given he's only started 6 times this season. With Liverpool up next, I'd fancy Kevin to have some joy against a defence that looks a shell of its former self and still looks susceptible to conceding goals against any opposition.
