Waiver Wire Gameweek 22

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 22 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Eli Kroupi (Ros 39%)

Prospects: One of Europe’s stories of the season, based on his underlying numbers, is no longer a mystery and is largely unavailable in most competitive leagues. Still, I was surprised to see him a percentage point below 40% after two straight games with a goal to start the year, the latter coming in a 63-minute start. With the exit of Semenyo and injuries to Ünal and Kluivert, I think we’ll see Kroupi deployed alongside Evanilson, rather than starting over him as we’ve seen at times this season. The Cherries also have a nice schedule over the next few weeks.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him

Harry Maguire (Ros 9%)

Prospects: Maguire made the bench against Burnley this past gameweek after being out since early November with a hamstring injury. He has just four starts to his name this season, two of which included a goal contribution. Maguire is an okay ghoster when United aren’t aggressively struggling and should see starts in the back line soon, regardless of who the new manager is. There are plenty of defenders available this season, but if you’re late to the party, I don’t mind the punt.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him

Mateus Mane (Ros 29%)

Prospects: How is this guy still under 40% rostered?! That’s now four straight starts for the Wolves youngster, and over his last two he’s really picked it up in favorable matchups, posting scores of 23 and 12 — with goals in both games. The schedule tightens up a bit now, but with three straight fixtures without a loss and a six-goal FA Cup rout, could Wolves be building some semblance of momentum? And is Mané the man to lead that charge? I think he’s worth an add, but don’t spend big, as his best days this season may be taking a short break with games against Newcastle and Man City looming.
