Waiver Wire Gameweek 35

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 35 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Harry Maguire (Ros 39%)

Prospects: If you were one of the keeners who got Maguire before this waiver run, then you massively benefitted from his 22 FPts haul against Brentford. Yet again, Maguire was the target for another Bruno Fernandes cross, where the Englishman ended up getting yet another attacking return from a set play. Against the Bees, Maguire had 2 shots on target, 8 clearances and 5 aerials to go along with his assist. He's always been a bit of a ghost point machine when he's on song, and that shouldn't change rest of season as Man Utd try to seal their spot in the Champions League for the 26/27 campaign. Liverpool at home shouldn't scare you either as the Reds from Merseyside haven't been on great form themselves. He can easily be your DEF-3 with his 7.3 gPP90.

Verdict: I would use any waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Kobbie Mainoo (Ros 39%)

Prospects: Since Carrick's debut in the dugout, Mainoo has returned to the Red Devils' starting XI as a regular feature again. At the beginning of Mainoo's run of starts, he had a good and bad patch. In his first 4 games, he was averaging just under 11 PPS, with a couple of assists. He then went on a quiet spell where he was averaging just over 3 PPS. However, now he seems to be on the upwards trajectory, averaging 7 PPS over his last 4 starts, and without any attacking returns. It seems as though majority of his points are coming through defensive actions such as tackles and interceptions. So with Liverpool up next, we'd expect the young English MID to be quite busy in what is usually a heated affair, and one in which Man Utd will surely want to have the last laugh, especially in the league table. So if you need a MID-4, Mainoo could be a cheeky pickup.

Verdict: I would use a low waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.

James Justin (Ros 32%)

Prospects: Leeds were narrow losers in the semifinal of the FA Cup against Chelsea and will be raring to get their Premier League survival mission back underway, as they host Burnley in Friday night game. One of the reasons why Leeds could end up surviving the drop is thanks to their defence. They've massively improved since their switch to a back-5 system, and it's shown by the goals they've conceded. Over the past 6 games, of all teams, they've only conceded 4 goals, which is the lowest in the league, similar to the likes of Man City. Although the return of Anton Stach means that Justin might not have access to set pieces again, the return of Rodon does mean that Justin could retain his wingback role, as opposed to being one of the 3 centrebacks. He should get more license to attack now, meaning he could hit his ceiling of 18.2 FPts more often. It also helps that Burnley have only scored 2 goals in their last 6 games, which is the lowest in the league.

Verdict: I would use any waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.
