Waiver Wire Gameweek 27
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 27 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Andy Robertson (Ros 18%)
Prospects: Robertson started just his 5th match of the season in Liverpool's midweek fixture at the Stadium of Light, scoring 14.25 points as his side ended the game 1-0 victors. Whilst he is firmly second choice behind summer signing Kerkez, he has still seen some starts, especially when the fixtures start to get congested. Liverpool's next 3 games are against 3 of the 4 worst teams in the league, in Forest, West Ham and Wolves, with the last of these being a midweek game to account for the FA cup 5th round. I could see Robertson starting 1-2 of these games. As Liverpool can only look to the cups for glory this year, some of their starters should be getting rested in the easier games, and with the Champions League R16 starting in mid-March, there will be minutes for the Scottish veteran.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him
Nilson Angulo (Ros 5%)
Prospects: Sunderland needed to refresh their somewhat stale forward line in the January transfer window, electing to replace the misfiring Simon Adingra with Ecuadorian international Nilson Angulo, signed from RSC Anderlecht. The young winger has been thrown in the deep end, with his two games so far being a sub appearance at the Emirates, before starting his first game against title holders Liverpool. From a fantasy perspective he did well despite Sunderland's loss, scoring 11 ghost points in 79 minutes. Whilst the sample size is low, I am interested to see how he performs in the ostensibly easier run of fixtures coming up.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him
Amine Adli (Ros 39%)
Prospects: Adli has started the last 5 games in a row, scoring twice, getting an assist and averaging 13.65 PPG over this period. His time in the first XI has also seen a notable uptick in the Cherries' form, following a hapless spell in November and December. They have now earned 14 points out of a possible 18, rising to 9th in the table. Looking forward to their next few games, they visit West Ham before hosting Sunderland and Brentford, and then they take a long trip up to Burnley. I would happily start Adli in each of these games and hope to ride his purple patch until at least the Manchester United game on March 20th.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-10 FAB to get him
