Waiver Wire Gameweek 28

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 28 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Tosin Adarabioyo (Ros 24%)

Prospects: Tosin stays in our recommendations, as he did everything well to keep starting for Chelsea who face arguably the worst team on current form, Leicester. The English CB not only helped his team keep a clean sheet, he contributed with an assist to notch up a monster 22.75 FPts score. As we said last week, he graces these columns not only because of the likely clean sheet, but his aerial ability too.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Nelson Semedo (Ros 33%)

Prospects: The former Barca man is coming off a great run of games since his 10.25 against Arsenal at the end of January. After a clean-sheet-assisted 15.5 against Bournemouth, he came up with an assist and 13 points last GW against Fulham. With Everton, Southampton, West Ham and Ipswich up next (followed by Spurs and Man United) getting in on the act has never been such an easy decision. Semedo has been able to get involved in the attack of late with a few crosses and key passes, so the return last week was no fluke. Cunha's absence will mean a few things will need shifting around in the attack, but Strand Larsen's likely reintroduction will only mean good things for Semedo's assist potential.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.

Carlos Alcaraz (Ros 38%)

Prospects: Unlike his namesake, his rise to prominence has not been without hiccups. The Argentinian has gone from Southampton, to Juventus, to Flamengo and now to Everton in January and is looking to try his luck in the EPL for a second time. In his 2 starts so far, he has managed 27.75 with a goal and an assist and a great 9.5 in his recent outing. He has taken over the attacking mantle in McNeil's absence and has thrived in the new-look Everton under Moyes. Wolves and West Ham up next mean that Everton have every chance of continuing their great form and Charly Alcaraz will be pivotal in maintaining their momentum.

Verdict:  I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Chris Richards (Ros 27%)

Prospects: Richards was one of my sleeper picks during draft season, but he, just like his team, took a while to get up to speed. Since Jan 15th, he has only had 2 games that weren't double digit scores and Palace have managed to keep 4 clean sheets during that run. He isn't flashy, and he won't be grabbed for 10s of FAB during waiver runs, but a player with the potential to get you 10+ points and such reliability should be cherished. Their upcoming run is looking great with a double GW already confirmed as well.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Joe Willock (Ros 6%)

Prospects: Injury crisis + Gordon's red card in the FA cup means that we will be seeing a very much rethought Newcastle side this weekend. Willock has been starting recently and he might be able to carve out a bigger role in the attack with all the absences. Despite the great result against Arsenal, West Ham should still be no match for this Newcastle side and with everyone else injured or suspended, Willock could have a big day on Monday night.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Kamaldeen Sulemana (Ros 7%)

Prospects: Sulemana has been getting a few opportunities lately and is smoking right backs every time. Enter Trent. A wizard going forward, Bambi on ice at the back. I am sure Juric is drawing up all his plays to end up in a one vs. one with Kamaldeen and Trent, especially after seeing Doku make a fool out of the Liverpool RB every time he got the ball. I am not saying Southampton will get a result, I am not even saying that Kamaldeen is going to get a return, but if you are looking for an upside play, you can probably nab him even after lineups are announced. Check him out!

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
