Waiver Wire Gameweek 28

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 28 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Lutsharel Geertruida (Ros 1%)

Prospects: A purely speculative play if the injury to Nordi Mukiele proves to be significant in any way, as I’m a fan of Sunderland’s upcoming fixtures & pretty much through the end of the season. Geertruida was a seemingly solid ghoster with Feyenoord and Leipzig and has shown flashes in limited starts with Sunderland this season, but let’s see if a steady run of games can prove he can do it consistently.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him and maybe 2-3 if Mukiele is out more than 2-3 gameweeks.

Ryan Sessegnon (Ros 31%)

Prospects: Antonee Robinson hasn't started a Prem game in a couple of weeks and missed out entirely in GW27 with a minor ankle injury. Sessegnon is back getting starts at LB/LWB and is already looking and scoring better. He’s averaging decent numbers over his last three starts (we’ll excuse the City game) and is heading into a favorable run of fixtures with Fulham up first. He's still not heavily rostered surprisingly.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him

Randal Kolo Muani (Ros 24%)

Prospects: I’m of the belief that while Spurs don’t look great, they’re going to have to find a way to survive this teetering dance with relegation. Once they return to facing a non–top side, starting with Fulham next week and other favorable fixtures ahead, I expect them to deploy Solanke up top, with Randal Kolo Muani possibly taking a wing role. They need to spice things up in an attacking sense, and we haven’t really seen Igor Tudor’s true Spurs XI yet. I don’t love it, but like Spurs, if you’re desperate, why not? Also, I needed at least one forward in this week’s edition 🙂. Kolo Muani and Tudor also share a former successful (for RKM) Juve stint.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him
