Waiver Wire Gameweek 34

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 34 targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

GW 34 is a blank gameweek, which means the following teams do not have fixtures this time around: Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Man City and Aston Villa. Depending on your league, players from these teams will be available/locked throughout the GW, which spans from Saturday to Thursday evening. Fantrax Default Setup has players lock at the start of the last game of the gameweek. This is worth checking out and keep an eye on as a fair amount of valuable players will be dropped so that teams can field an XI.

Toti Gomes (Ros 23%)

Prospects: We have talked about Toti a bunch, especially on the Key Pass Collective pod, and we have established that he is the best ghosting and most reliable of the Wolves defenders, albeit still not very exciting. This pick is all about playing the opponent. Leicester at home is currently the best fixture for defenders, when you want to chase clean sheets, and if you add his ghosting ability, you’re likely looking at a double-digit score.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-6 FAB to get him.

Ryan Sessegnon (Ros 19%)

Prospects: Due to his recent uptick in form, this is the second time he features in this column in the last few weeks. Sessegnon has beaten out Adama, Wilson and Willian for a spot in the front line (so far atleast) and has been scoring and assisting every chance he gets. I expect him to continue starting and play well the rest of the season. Vs Southampton he’s a must pickup and start.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-6 FAB to get him.

Niclas Füllkrug (Ros 39%)

Prospects: Another player who has already graced these pages recently and one who will do so no more. The Waiver article bump means that he is likely to move above 40% rostered after this week's waivers. He has backed up his goal(s)-fuelled, long-awaited return from injury, with a loud cry for help/kick up the backside towards his team in a post-match interview last weekend. If the tactic works, his team may finally turn up the effort and help the German continue scoring and assisting. Brighton have been leaky as of late and may have lost their starting CB, Van Hecke to injury as well for this one.

Verdict:  I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Kenny Teté (Ros 13%)

Prospects: Fulham have lost 3 of their past 4 games and are in real danger of slipping out of European contention in the PL's super congested mid-table. Teté returned from a long layoff and started last weekend in Castagne's spot. While 2 starts in a row may not be possible for him, he is worth a free pickup later in the gameweek as he has traditionally been able to combine defensive and attacking roles to the delight of his fantasy managers. Away to Southampton mean the risk is more than worth it.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Casemiro (Ros 26%)

Prospects: Amorim's United have officially been declared safe from relegation, less to do with them, and more to do with how bad the newly promoted teams have been all season. With that in mind, Amorim will concentrate all his efforts towards the EL semi-final games against Athletic Bilbao and continue playing a second-string XI. Casemiro is still on the border of first and second teamer and, therefore, is fairly likely to feature this weekend and has always had a knack for ghosting really well.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.

Pablo Sarabia (Ros 19%)

Prospects: We have been screaming for Sarabia to finally get a chance in the first team. Despite the injuries and rotation, he continues to ride the pine. Last weekend, he gave himself the best opportunity to change things as his winning direct free kick goal from the bench won the game against United. I am expecting him to finally start the game this upcoming weekend. Be warned, while he is a good player and great free kick taker, he rarely ghosts outside of set pieces, so if he doesn't return, you’ll need to stomach a low score.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
