Waiver Wire Gameweek 35
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 35 targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Jake O'Brien (Ros 21%)
Prospects: After an impressive stint at RB in the Moyes Revolution, O'Brien will most likely continue to partner Branthwaite in the middle of the defense for the rest of the season in Tarkowski's absence. Everton have droped off a bit in recent weeks, but they had difficult fixtures to mitigate the wobble. This upcoming weekend they will be facing deflated, mathematically relegated Ipswich. O'Brien managed 5.75 ghosts in the loss against Chelsea and past performances suggest that he is capable of racking up more.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-6 FAB to get him.
Ryan Manning (Ros 4%)
Prospects: Since getting back into the Starting XI in early July against Liverpool, Manning has shown signs of life in his fantasy performances. The highlight of his fantasy performances comes from him taking over sets and managing at least one key pass in his last 6 matches. Last weekend, he capped his impressive performances with an assist and a double-digit score. Southampton are playing in the Trashico this weekend with Leicester, so anything can happen.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-6 FAB to get him.
Richarlison (Ros 37%)
Prospects: It pains me to suggest such an insufferable player for a waiver pickup, but West Ham are up (or down) there with the absolute worst of the Premier League teams when it comes to form and overall ability to play well. If Tottenham weren't so close to West Ham in incompetence right now, this Richy pickup would be a no brainer, but unfortunately even if he starts, they could shit the bed. I am struggling to decide if the Spurs West Ham, or Southampton-Leicester matches are throwing up worse teams. Anyway "Trashicos" have a habit of providing ample opportunity for chaos and scoring fantasy points, so I would gamble on attackers from all 4 teams, especially from Spurs.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
Kamaldeen Sulemana (Ros 9%)
Prospects: Sulemana has been putting in decent performances since getting into the first team, but has lacked the crucial last pass or shot to make his incisive runs count. As mentioned above, this game against Leicester will be huge for the Saints, the perfect opportunity for Southampton to get a Derby County sized monkey off their back with a win this weekend.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
Matt O'Riley (Ros 20%)
Prospects: Joao Pedro's suspension has opened the door for the former Celtic man to have a second go at trying to nail down a spot in the XI after a rather disappointing start to his life on the south coast. He passes the eye test and is growing in confidence. The match against Newcastle is far from the easiest they can face, but Brighton on their day can hold their own against anyone. If you need a mid with steady points guaranteed, and potential for an attacking return, he could be your guy.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Kasey McAteer (Ros 1%)
Prospects: The pacey winger is a stab in the dark WW add suggestion. It is fitting that our final player for today comes from the bottom-of-the-table clash we have mentioned so many times before. Ruud will have his work cut out for him to put together an XI which can finally start scoring goals, and McAteer might just be a player who can help with that. Pick him up if you have an open MID spot and wait to see how the GW turns out.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
