Waiver Wire Gameweek 36

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 36 targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Luke Thomas (Ros 2%)

Prospects: Luke Thomas made his way back into the Leicester Starting XI in March and has been starting ever since. He is one of those unique defenders on Fantrax who is able to gather points from defensive and attacking contributions. Last weekend against Southampton, he managed a whopping 16.75, propped up heavily by his 3 KPs but 2 weeks ago for example, against Liverpool, he had much more to do defensively, of course, and he managed 11 points with those largely coming from the defensive points: 3 INT, 8 CLR, 1 BS. Leicester will want to finish strong and their ROS fixtures are relatively kind, so they have a good chance to build some momentum.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-3 FAB to get him.

Harry Maguire (Ros 30%)

Prospects: Although Slabhead was originally planned to rest, in order to apparently play centre forward/tricky winger in the Europa League, de Ligt's injury means that he will most likely be called upon for the Prem match next weekend. A reliable point-getter historically, Maguire should hold his own in a good matchup vs the Hammers even if United succumb to defensive frailties such as last weekend's.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 5-6 FAB to get him.

Nico O'Reilly (Ros 37%)

Prospects: The young prodigy has managed to cement his spot in Pep's late-season City revival, even if it's at an unexpected left back. It is not as pretty as it once was, but it's still efficient. The Academy graduate has contributed a few important goals in recent weeks, and as Foden and the big names ride the pine, O'Reilly should continue to shine. Be advised, he is unlikely to get 5+ ghosts, so your bet hinges on him getting a return.

Verdict:  I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Mason Mount (Ros 14%)

Prospects: Money Mase led the second (third?) string United XI to an embarrassing defeat against Brentford, but he did manage to score a Premier League goal after 400 days. Mount is still firmly part of the reserves at United, but, with the Europa League taking primary focus and Mount's future still undecided, he and Amorim will both be striving to put him firmly in the shop window and try to recoup the ridiculous amount of money they spent on him.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Nicolas Dominguez (Ros 11%)

Prospects: One of the water carriers of this season's surprise package, Forest. Dominguez has been ever-present in the midfield for Nottingham Forest and has been a solid last-minute option for Fantrax managers to punt on. He rarely gets a return (1 assist all season) but has been able to put together 8-9 point ghost games pretty regularly. With Hudson-Odoi out injured he's enabled to play further forward (with Sangare or Yates taking his original, more defensive-minded duties). Forest are quickly slipping from the CL spots, and they will want to win their next 2 games against lowly Leicester and West Ham to set up a thrilling finale vs Chelsea on the final day.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.

Eddie Nketiah (Ros 12%)

Prospects: Eddie will be the first to admit that his season as Palace's record signing has not gone to plan. He has not found the net nearly enough and therefore lost his spot as Palace were putting together a great run in the middle of the season. As a result of that run, they are looking forward to the most important day in the history of the club as they are preparing for their third ever FA Cup final with a chance to win their first piece of silverware. With the big game looming, I expect some rotation to keep legs fresh, so Eddie could come in. As a bonus, if you check next weekend's opponent: "Lads, it's only Tottenham."

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
