Waiver Wire Gameweek 36

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 36 Waiver Wire targets that are 44% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Ian Maatsen (Ros 32%)

Prospects: In a perfect world, you’d be able to stream a defender against an already relegated side for your first playoff matchup of the season. So Ian Maatsen might just be your ideal guy. He’s out there in player pools, and the GW36 away fixture vs Burnley presents an ideal opportunity to get your end-of-season cup run off to a strong start. Villa were uninspiring against Spurs, but with a midweek clash vs Forest in the UEL, where I expect Digne to start, I see another game for Maatsen against the Clarets next week.

Verdict: I would use a low waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Jack Hinshelwood (Ros 43%)

Prospects: This guy has truly been a fantasy enigma recently. He gets into fantastic positions but can’t seem to really ghost. Still, it hasn’t mattered much, with 3 goal contributions in his last 5 starts, including 2 in a row. He’s getting consistent minutes and operating in the No. 10 role for a Seagulls side fighting for Europe, and an outfit that are in-form. I think he continues to start, and his playoff opponents include Wolves, Leeds, and Manchester United. I like him for at least the first two.

Verdict: I would use a low waiver pick or 4-5 FAB to get him.

Rio Ngumoha (Ros 36%)

Prospects: Surely it’s time. I was surprised he didn’t get the start vs Everton last gameweek, especially after that 21-point performance, with a goal, vs Fulham at Anfield. Slot needs to just do it, put Rio in over Frimpong, who was uninspiring vs Manchester United. Liverpool have Chelsea at Anfield next, followed by Villa and Brentford. Just run the kid out at this point, there’s real potential for a playoff winner here.

Verdict: I would use a low waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
