Predicting the outcome of each weekend is tough. So many factors go into fantasy lineup decisions, and hopefully this article can help to make some of those toss-ups easier. Below we will preview some of the marquee matchups of the weekend, and highlight some Fantrax players that you should look to pick up and stream as a one week punt.

Fantrax Preview Gameweek 37

Here is our Fantasy EPL Preview where we outline how to plan ahead for this gameweek. The semis of playoffs for leagues with them, or the chance for many to clinch a title, get into the prize money spots or avoid a last place finish.

Matchup Previews

Fulham vs. Man City

Prospects: Every Arsenal fan will be watching this. After what we have seen from Spurs this and the West Ham game could be City's only chance to drop points. I am expecting Pep to put out his strongest XI, which could see the likes of Doku and Grealish coming on against some tired legs. While I expect City to win this one, I wouldn't be surprised to see a closer game. I think all Fulham assets are worth benching or dropping at this point in the season, and would start majority of City assets in this one. The likes of Doku, Grealish, and Alvarez are all worth starting if they are benched as they could get returns from the bench then potentially a start vs. Spurs or significant bench minutes vs. tired legs of Emerson Royal.

Manchester United vs. Arsenal

Prospects: After the thrashing United received vs. Palace you would expect this to be a walk in the park for Arsenal. However I think this will be a closer game. United tend to show up in these bigger matchups and could make life difficult for the Gunners. I still think Arsenal can win this one or at worst a draw, but seeing a 4-0 scoreline again would shock me. Martinez, Rashford , Mctominay, and Bruno should be back for this one which will be a huge boost for United. Your elite Arsenal attackers are worth starting here, as well as your elite United assets. I think I would avoid streaming United assets, and most of their defenders outside of Dalot and maybe AWB depending on the Shaw news.

Double GameWeek 37 Advice

Should You Start More Players Than Your Opponent?

Prospects: Double gameweeks seem like a competition of trying to start more players than your opponent, thinking that already sets you up for victory, Unfortunately, a lot of times people are mistaken. Managers will grab any starting double gameweek asset they can and bench some really strong SGW players for them. For example the ultimate double gameweek traps - Longstaff and most Brighton assets (Gross, Adingra, Pedro all aside). These players have every chance of scoring under 7 points across the 2 games and offer little to no upside. If you are thinking of benching for example Odegaard vs. United in Arsenal's must win game then it could be a very poor decision. Teams such as Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham, Palace, and even Luton all have assets that should be in your XI this week regardless of what mediocre double gameweek player you can get your hands on. I would always try to stay within 3-5 "total players" of my opponent, but simply starting poor assets over your studs because they have two games isn't the way to win. Start your studs, and punt on a few double gameweek assets for a solid balance.

Double Gameweek 37 Punts

Joelinton vs. BHA and MUN (MID, NEW)

Prospects: Fresh off of injury Joelinton marked his comback with 5 points in less than 30 minutes off the bench. He is a sneaky add here, and in my opinion could be worth starting even if he is benched. Another 3-5 points from the bench coupled with a start vs. a lowly United team could have him with a solid double figure score.

Scott McTominay vs. ARS and NEW (MID, MUN)

Prospects: McSauce could be a sleeper pick this week. After the thrashing United just received I expect the lineup to change and if fit I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the XI. The risk here is how late of a game this is, if you can have like Mainoo or someone available as cover he is worth the punt. I would not start him from the bench unless you are in a jam, as there is a chance he accumulates less than 50 minutes at that point across the 2 games.

Harvey Elliott vs. AVL (MID, LIV)

Prospects: Eliiott had a stormer vs. Spurs and is a strong play this week despite the single game. He is a MID5 with upside this week, and could perform better than those mediocre DGW players such as Longstaff. He is worth starting this week and I would be shocked to see him not in the XI. Villa may have heavy legs from the European outing Thursday as well, so we could see Liverpool score a few here.
