Waiver Wire Gameweek 37

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 37 targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period! As we head towards the end of the season I have not provided a recommended waiver value for these players, as this late on their value on the wire will vary greatly depending on your roster construction and the current FAB levels in the league.

Jacob Greaves (Ros 6%)

Prospects: Greaves has failed to live up to the high hopes that fantasy managers had for him going into the season, as his 7.9 GPPS have done little to cover for Ipswich's hapless defence, resulting in just 6 PPS over the course of the season. However, in the last two weeks Greaves has put up 12 and 16.25 points against Everton and Brentford respectively, without keeping a clean sheet in either game, finally showing the ghosting potential that was promised following his move to Suffolk from Hull City last summer. Looking at the Blues remaining fixtures, there is no reason that this cannot continue, with a trip to Leicester (who have scored 2 goals at home since the start of the year) in GW37, followed by a home game against West Ham United in the final day of the season. If Greaves is unavailable in your league (or you want to double down on Ipswich defenders, in which case I salute you) then his centre back partner Cameron Burgess is at least a semi-viable alternative having also posted double digit outings in the last two games, albeit with an assist against Everton.

Carlos Alcaraz (Ros 22%)

Prospects: During Everton's Saturday trip to Craven Cottage, Charly Alcaraz indicated his desire to make his loan move to Merseyside permanent in the summer. Having averaged just over 10 PPG over the past two weeks, I expect a big performance from Alcaraz as he looks to further ingratiate himself with the Toffee's faithful, and there isn't a better fixture in the PL this year than his next one, as Everton welcome Southampton to Goodison Park in GW37.

Michael Kayode (Ros 5%)

Prospects: Michael Kayode has finally made the right back position at Brentford his own, and if his recent scores are anything to go by then he shows no signs of looking back. With 3 double digit hauls on the bounce, Kayode's points have come from a variety of sources, including 2 clean sheets, an assist and, of course, a healthy smattering of ghost points, stemming from his impact on both sides of the field. Brentford's next game is hosting a very average Fulham side, where there is no reason that his current high scoring streak couldn't continue. In GW38 Brentford take a trip to Wolverhampton to face a side with nothing to play for, and a very leaky defence which could see him nicking an attacking return, or at least the opportunity to rack up some key passes and accurate crosses, with the very attacking Rayan Ait-Nouri in at LB for the Wolves.

Matty Cash (Ros 27%)

Prospects: Gone are the days when Matty Cash was a set and forget Fantrax asset, with his form never returning to his heights of the 21/22 season. In recent weeks however, due to Aston Villa's miserly defence, he has quietly been putting out some solid scores, although it must be mentioned that his points have largely come from clean sheets, with his ghosting firmly in the "at least its better than City defenders" category. Villa's final two games of the season are arguably the best of any teams, as they face off against Spurs and Manchester United, two teams that are currently struggling to even play for pride, and who will be far more interested in their upcoming bout in the Europa League final to bother trying to save face in what has been abject domestic seasons for them both. As such, a clean sheet is definitely on the cards in GW37 as Villa Park plays host to Tottenham Hotspur, who will be desperate to avoid any injuries, especially with Son only returning from injury to the bench on Sunday.

Facundo Buonanotte (Ros 26%)

Prospects: Oh what could have been, Buonanotte's exclusion from Leicester's starting XI has had fantasy managers pulling their hair out since Ruud Van Nistelrooy took over the reins at the King Power. And to make matters worse, just as he finally started he suffered a concussion which kept him out until his return off the bench to steal a point from Leicester's East Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest during GW36. Leicester host Ipswich next week, and if Buonanotte is rewarded by being moved back into the starting eleven, then he should be able to put up score at least in line with his season average 11.3 PPS, and well worth his spot on your roster.

Michael Keane (Ros 4%)

Prospects: Following injuries to Tarkowski and O'Brien, Michael Keane was recalled to the Everton back line, partnering Branthwaite for their fixture against Fulham last weekend for his first league start since November. In this outing, Keane both scored his 3rd goal of the season and ghosted a respectable 11.5 points, ending the week with a potentially matchup winning 21.5 for anyone who streamed him in. Whilst it is not thought that O'Brien's injury is particularly worrying, Everton will gain nothing by rushing him back and so Keane could well close out the season in the starting eleven. With Everton's next game hosting Southampton, the marauding centre back will surely be eyeing his chances at getting on the score sheet again, and I would expect a good ghosting performance, especially from the Toffee's offensive corner threat, as well as a high chance of a clean sheet against this seasons lowest scorers.
