Waiver Wire Gameweek 38
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 38 targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax (And a couple bonus picks). These players should perform for those still in the fight for a league or playoff title this weekend! I have not provided a recommended waiver value for these players, as their value will be heavily skewed considering it's the final gameweek. If you want someone, splash the cash! I'm definitely targeting teams with something to play for this weekend. Then again, the final gameweek always has some shenanigans at every corner.
Ezri Konsa D-AVL (Ros 30%):
Prospects: Konsa put in an outstanding performance on Friday, highlighted by his 59th-minute goal, assisted by Ollie Watkins, his second Premier League goal this season. I like his chances to at least repeat the clean sheet from his last game, especially against a likely weakened United side. However, I’m less optimistic if United carry momentum from a Europa League win into the weekend. Villa have kept three consecutive clean sheets, which bodes well for Konsa.
Brajan Gruda M-BRI (Ros 5%):
Prospects: Gruda came in from Germany with some hype, but he never quite managed to string consistent starts together. He had a brief yet solid two-assist cameo in April against West Ham followed by a slightly longer sub appearance versus Wolves where he scored. He was then rewarded with a start at home against Champions Liverpool and delivered 23 points with an assist. Definitely one to watch for next season — but more importantly, one to watch for Gameweek 38 against a very tired, post-Europa Spurs.
Harvey Elliot M-LIV (Ros 32%):
Prospects: One of the Liverpool players on a late-season tryout for next season. Elliott played the full 90 and racked up 29.25 points (1G/1A) in the loss away at Brighton. Liverpool may roll out a full-strength side on Sunday against Palace, but just in case they don’t, it’s not a bad idea to have him stashed and ready to go. Bradley another one to keep an eye on, as is Tsimikas. Darwin too...I guess.
Kasey McAteer M-LEI (Ros 6%):
Prospects: I saw a picture somewhere of Kasey as a ball boy back in 2015, when Vardy was scoring for fun. Fast forward to now — he’s gotten the chance to play alongside him over the past few weeks and has delivered solid returns. His last three scores? 7.5, 10.25, and 14 FPts — and only the last one included an attacking return. He should see another start away at Bournemouth and could be a solid MID5 option for your final gameweek lineup.
Over 40% Rostered Bonus Picks!
Leif Davis D-IPS (Ros 56%):
Prospects: I think a lot of folks drafted Davis this year thinking they had the reincarnation of Alfie Doughty. Unfortunately, he never maintained consistent FPs/G and offered little upside, even in the rare favorable matchup. After a short suspension, he returned with a solid performance away at Leicester, scoring 11.5 points. West Ham on the final day aren’t too intimidating, and Davis could rack up some ghost points. He came close to scoring last weekend (hit the post), so a return isn’t out of the question on the final day.
Kai Havertz F-ARS (Ros 60%):
Prospects: An absolute punt of all punts for the final gameweek away at Southampton. The German returned for just 13 minutes against Newcastle after not featuring since February 2nd. It’s a long shot that he starts this weekend, but I think he’s worth stashing just in case. Every final gameweek has a thrashing — here’s to hoping Havertz leads the line to send Southampton packing. A potential cup-winning play!
