We'll be focusing on players that will bring us not only attacking returns or clean sheets, but also those players that score Ghost Points in the sophisticated and statistics based Fantrax Scoring System!

Fantasy EPL Gameweek 4 Sleepers XI

For this article, we use the percentage rostered calculation from Fantrax and Sleeper. Our only rule is that each player we highlight is rostered in 60% of leagues or fewer at the time of writing. Therefore, there's a good chance some of these players will be free agents in your Draft league! As always, we'll take form, fixtures, projected points, and a healthy dose of intuition into account to make our selections.

Our GW3 team performed admirably and continued the string of decent scores with 85.25. That score was a swansong from our three-peaters, who we will say a teary-eyed goodbye to (due to their rostership finally climbing higher than our cutoff). Mark Flekken (10.25) and Adama Traore (17.5) were helped out by Jensen (13) and Cook (15.25) who both had attacking returns and managed to put up decent ghost-scoring numbers. Three other players, who gave a good account of themselves were Ndiaye (7), Colwill (9) and Greaves (9.5) who all deserve a mention as all three ghosted well.

The Sleepers XI table below includes a full team of Starters, as well as 5 Reserves -- high-upside players with some question marks around whether or not they'll start in Gameweek 3. Keep an eye out when lineups are announced and pick them up if you see them starting and need to fill a spot on your roster. Read on below for the rationale behind each of the Starter selections.

Mads Hermansen (G, Leicester)

It is not rocket science to choose which GK to go with for our Sleepers XI. our boy Flekken has finaly had enough people see the light and his rostered percentage finally crept higher than our cutoff, so we are going with the GK with the second most saves after 3 gameweeks. Leicester have faced 18 shots so far, which is only 3 behind Bournemouth with the most ShA with 21, so you can guarantee firweorks in front of goal, which should bode well for the Leicester GK.

Jan-Paul van Hecke (D, Brighton)

JPVH as he is fondly referred to at TDS towers has quietly been ghosting on a Brighton D that has looked like turning a corner after the hectic "I'll score one more than you" gung-ho RDZ tactics last season and could be looking at Clean Sheets in the near future (remember they had to wait until January to keep a CS in the EPL last season). Although he only has 6.2 ghosts on average for the first 3 games, once the Clean Sheets start appearing, he will be a legit hold for decent stretches. Facing a recently promoted team always gets you a bump up and JPVH has earned his spot in this team based on those 2 factors.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (D, West Ham)

The big Greek CB showed his potential to get a decent score in West Ham's win over Palace with a 15.5 score which was mainly due to the 3 aerials won and 6 clearances. These metrics will be his go-to if he is to have a big day this weekend against Fulham, who like to cross a fair amount and therefore aerial and clearance stats are there for the taking.

Yukinari Sugawara (D, Southampton)

We have been touting the Japanese wing-back a fair few times since the season began and after 2 narrow losses in in GW1 and 2, although the Saints were soundly beaten, Yuki finally broke their duck and scored their first goal of the season. A regular attacking threat, who can be picked up on matchday in most leagues is just what streaming is all about. This weekend, they are facing Man Utd, who have not put up much of a resistance or credible attacking threats in their first few games.

Facundo Bounanotte (M, Leicester)

The young Argentinian has already had a goal and assist in the first 3 for his new club this season and while he is delivering ghost-less performances like we got used to at Brighton, he is definitely becoming more of an attacking threat. He stayed in England during the IB and supposedly worked on his fitness to underline his determination to hold down a regular starting spot while new signing El Khannous gets up to speed and challenges him for the spot.

Jacob Ramsey (M, Aston Villa)

Rumours are circulating that Bailey's muscle injury will have him sit out a fair few games, so Ramsey might end up being a medium-to-long-term addition to the Villa starting XI and to Fantasy teams as well. He was subbed in GW3 and put up a very convincing 7 points to complement his 5 and 9 in previous sub appearances. Regardless of long-term value, we here at the Sleepers are all about the weekly upside and facing dead-last Everton should have those who managed to pick him up chomping at the bits.

Ryan Christie (M, Bournemouth)

The Genie favourite has yet to produce much this season. He was benched in GW1 and left the field before 70' in both subsequent games. The optimism about him being able to produce decent MID3-ish number rest of the season might be waning but he has been able to get 2 KPs/ start in his 2 starts so there is still some optimism, plus the Bournemouth attackers are among the highest volume shooters in the league, so KPs will be there for the taking. They face still-work-in-progress Chelsea this weekend and if you want to take a punt on an upside mid as opposed to slotting in an uninspired DM, he is worth a shot.

Julio Enciso (M, Brighton)

I am convinced that the young Paraguayan has every chance of getting a good run of games now that Milly is out due to a hamstring injury. He has had decent cameos against Arsenal and United and featured in Paraguey's WC qualifiers over the IB but he is already back in Brighton. He is explosive, young and ready to get you a ton of Fantasy points. There is a lot of competition for minutes, so he might e in and out of the team, but if starting, he is probably the best player to pick up.

Ilman Ndiaye (F, Everton)

I punted on him for GW1 and he didn't start, but he played well and got 7 points last week for this Sleepers team and I am sticking with him as Everton try to turn their fortunes around. N'Diaye is direct and continually involved in the attack. He had 2 shots on target and one successful dribble and was unfortunately taken off before the calamitous final 7 minutes where Everton capitulated spectecualrly.

Luis Sinisterra (F, Bournemouth)

The tricky Colombian was one of the architects of Bournemouth's turnaround win in GW3 as he got a goal and an assist in 21 minutes to get his team the most emphatic of wins. We never doubted the potential and ability to influence a game and score fantasy points, but it seemed that he was better at coming in from the bench than starting. Here is hoping he can get the nod and deliver vs Chelsea, who are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Stephy Mavididi (F, Leicester)

We were relatively high on Mavididi coming into the season, but he has failed to register a start this season. Leicester looked bad in all 3 games, so we are hoping that the IB will bring changes and a chance for the Derby-born winger to showcase his talents on the biggest stage.
