This article will focus on trade advice that highlights players that are either worth trading in on a low, or trading out on a high. This could involve players who could see their minutes reduced, have a purple patch come to an end, or on the flip side involve players who might be starting to heat up. This article will also feature advice and strategy tips from our very own Draft Genie, and his interesting style of playing the game.

Players To Trade-In
This section will focus on players to target in your trade offers. Usually there are two types of players to trade-in. The ones you "buy low" on, who may be in a poor patch of form, injured, or not seeing consistent minutes with all that about to change. The second is where you "buy high". While that will sound contradictory, these players could be showing no signs of slowing down and are en-route to a breakout season. You want to try and trade-in these players before they become unattainable, even if it involves offering more than what their draft-day or early-season value was.
Antonee Robinson (FUL - DEF)
Analysis: Robinson has had his worst two games in back to back gameweeks with scores of10.5 and 6.75. Now Fulham come up against Manchester City and Aston Villa in the next two gameweeks, two teams who can score in bunches. This is probably going to be your best chance to get in Robinson unless he suffers an injury or suspension for the rest of the season. While those two recent scores aren't exactly poor, with a slight dip in his early season success and two tough upcoming fixtures, managers may consider offers for Robinson. In my opinion, Robinson is set and forget, the dude does it all, and can fill up the stat sheet even in the toughest of fixtures. He is currently averaging 10.2 ghost points per start, a slight improvement on last year's 9.6. I do expect him to continue offering DEF1 value, especially with the new scoring change. Fulham have yet to concede more than 1 goal in a fixture this season, and maybe outside of the the City game, that trend could continue for the foreseeable future.
Fulham as a whole look a lot more fluid this year, and adding in Andersen to their back line is definitely a bonus for that group. Even with the loss of Palhinha this team has found a way to continue to be well organized and defensively sound. Robinson is the one to target this week from that team.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer some higher value names in a trade for Robinson that may not be producing the points you want. Offering out players such as: Robertson, Bailey, Rice, and Szoboszlai are good places to start in 1:1 type deals. If you want to get some added depth to your team and roster one of Trent or Gvardiol, look to ship them out and get back Robinson + 1. Obviously you can get back a lot more in the +1 if you offer Trent - aim for assets such as Kulusevski, Cunha, and Mitoma. Throw in some FAB or a "floor' player such as Wharton if the manager needs a little extra.
Callum Hudson-Odoi/Anthony Elanga (NFO - FWD)
Analysis: Nuno has been employing a weird strategy lately where he has his "starters" and "finishers", and rotates that every few weeks. Hudson-Odoi and Elanga are the two best wingers on Forest, and it is a shock they haven't started all 6 games this year. I am sure managers who roster them are getting frustrated, and with a Sunday fixture vs. Chelsea you could get both of these players for very good value. Even if they don't start this weekend, they are going to win a spot longer term. CHO has proven to be a solid FWD2 and Elanga a FWD3 with FWD2 upside. Who you trade in will depend on your forward line.
If you already roster three set and forget forwards, I would look to target Elanga as a FWD4. He will be cheaper to bring in, and could offer similar upside to CHO, and you may not need to rely on him right away. If you only really have 2 solid forwards, look to target CHO, as I would back him to start a little more often in this odd Nuno phase. Forest have already shown they are a solid team, and with Chris Wood picking up where he left off last season, Nuno should reunite him with Elanga and CHO sooner rather than later.
Trade Offer Value: For Elanga I would start by offering a DEF3 + 10-15 FAB, especially if the manager has enough forward depth. Assets such as Greaves, De Ligt, Saliba, and Pinnock are good places to start with Elanga. For CHO, you would need to throw out a bit more. Try offering out some forwards/midfielders with more consistent minutes, but lack production consistency, then throw in a sweetener. Start with players such as Welbeck, Jimenez, Evanilson, Delap, and Ndiaye. If you need to add in a sweetener, look to add players such as Lemina, Greaves, or Onana. Of course I am happy to throw in 10ish FAB as well.
Players To Trade-OUT
This section will focus on players that you should be actively trying to trade out over the next week or so. These players could be on course to see a minute reduction or be having a bad season that it seems they can't recover from. A lot of times name value players will feature here, as you will still find managers who believe they can return to their glory days. Each season brings new challenges and as we have seen even the very best assets can fall off a cliff in just a single season (Rashford 23/24). Look to trade out these players before their value becomes so low that you may need to consider dropping them.
Leandro Trossard (ARS - MID)
Analysis: Trossard is coming off a season high score of 29 points vs. Leicester and should be in the XI vs. Southampton, so why on earth should you trade him out? Well, with Merino back and Odegaard on the cusp of a return, Trossard could become a rotational LW player again sooner rather than later. If your league isn't as plugged into the scene, you may be able to wait until after the Saints game, but it's one of those trade now or be stuck with him later. I do believe now is the most you can probably get for Trossard due to the fact he is most likely going to start vs. Saints and it's such a favorable fixture. You'd essentially be foregoing immediate points for more consistent points ROS.
Trossard has been Mr. Reliable when plugged into the XI by Arteta; he usually delivers. Arsenal's midfield is getting a lot more crowded, and right now it seems Arteta will lean to Martinelli to start on the LW. Of course, things can change throughout the season, but his time as a consistent starter is likely over after the next international break. Trossard was most likely a round 7+ pick or someone you got cheaper after he didn't start the first two games. Now look to capitalize. I will say this, if you are stacked in midfield and Trossard is your MID5 or something, you would be better off holding him for his upside when he starts. In this kind of situation ,your team will still perform well and not need Trossard to start, but if he does, you just have added upside that weekend.
Trade Offer Value: I would look to offer Trossard for a midfielder with similar upside but who can be more of a set and forget asset. Packaging Trossard in a larger deal to target Kulusevski, Mitoma, or Bowen is the play. If you really want to swing for the fences, then try aiming for assets such as Maddison, Bruno, and Foden. For these trades you will need to add one more heavy asset to get the deal done. Managers may consider a package such as Trossard + one of Cunha, Jota, or Mbeumo. Gauge a manager's frustration with Bruno/Foden as you could use Trossard + Tavernier, for example, to get a deal done. Final option could be to target some top notch defenders such as Robinson.
Leon Bailey (AVL - MID)
Analysis: Managers who took Bailey in rounds 3-4 will be very disappointed with his start so far. In his 4 starts he has only 1 assist and is yet to crack double digits, with a season high of 9.25 points so far. While I do think Bailey improves, his injury record goes against him and could further limit his production moving forward. He will play a lot of minutes in Europe, and will always be an early sub candidate in the EPL as well. Right now Villa look all over the place, and even with a decent attack, I do not think Bailey will return round 4 value this season. In fact, I doubt he's even the top scoring Villa midfielder this year. While he obviously has very high upside, in my opinion you are better off looking elsewhere.
Bailey may be a hard sell, but after cracking the XI and getting the assist, a manager may be willing to give up some decent players, especially if they believe that Villa attack can replicate what they did last season. Bailey is not really a rotation risk, but do expect him to potentially rotate when we hit the festive period in a few months. Villa's next few games are vs. Manchester United, Fulham, Bournemouth, Spurs, and Liverpool. This is a mixed bag where Bailey could see a lot of single digit outings. Trade now before his stock drops even lower.
Trade Offer Value: I would offer Bailey out for a name that may command less value. If you can somehow get one of Tavernier or Kulusevski for Bailey, then please make that happen. I would be okay accepting a package such as Barnes + Diallo if you can get something like that done. Also using Bailey in a deal to get Brennan Johnson is a decent option. A 1:1 may work there since many managers have excess forwards. But if not, you can throw in a classic sweetener such as Greaves or FAB.
