Premier League Predicted XI: Liverpool to Wolves

Find below all the details on how we think these teams will lineup this season. Subject to change based on new signings and pre-season friendly data, of course.

Liverpool Predicted XI

Jota is the obvious player to miss out on our Liverpool Predicted XI. The Portuguese forward will see a good amount of starts for the upcoming season. Elsewhere, a midfielder to replace the departed Wijnaldum is an obvious requirement. New CB Konate should work his way into the starting eleven, and Van Dijk will take time to recover from his serious injury. Matip should see decent minutes at the start of the season.

Manchester City Predicted XI

Perhaps the hardest XI to predict in the whole of the EPL... here's how we think Manchester City will lineup for the new season as things stand. This lineup is without the likes of Jesus, Torres, Bernardo, and Zinchenko who can all score incredibly well on their day. Oh, and it doesn't include Kane or Grealish if City do decide to splash the cash this summer!

Manchester United Predicted XI

The attacking slots for Manchester United have the most question marks, with Rashford out for a few months if he opts to have his shoulder operated on. We are choosing to believe the rumours that Solskjaer wants to switch to a 4-3-3 formation, which will leave McTominay and Fred fighting over one spot, unless Man Utd fans get the defensive midfield signing they crave. Cavani is likely to lead the line after a strong end to last season, with Greenwood and Martial fighting for the final attacking slot. The rumour mill is churning once again with regards to Pogba's future in Manchester. Varane will partner Maguire in central defence.

Newcastle United Predicted XI

We would expect Ritchie and Murphy to continue as wing backs, with Almiron and Saint-Maximin behind Wilson. Fraser will be looking to prove himself during pre-season and work his way into the starting eleven. Joelinton will provide competition to Wilson, with Hendrick and Gayle also pushing for minutes from the bench. Clark and Schar are alternative options in defence. Dubravka is likely to miss the start of the season, which means Darlow should become a good short term option, providing he recovers in time after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Norwich City Predicted XI

This is how we would expect Norwich City to lineup this season. The Championship winners are expected to stick closely to the side that won promotion. Gilmour will add quality to central midfield, and Frenchman Lees-Melou will push hard for a starting berth. He could replace McLean, or Dowell if Farke wants a more solid midfield unit. Rashica and Cantwell will lineup on the wings. In central defence, Gibson will face competition for his place from Zimmermann and Omobamidele.

Southampton Predicted XI

There aren't too many areas up for grabs for Southampton. The likes of Walcott, Djenepo and Tella will be fighting for attacking slots, and Diallo is back-up in central midfield. New LB Perraud should see plenty of minutes, with Salisu the main competition at LB as well as CB. McCarthy will be battling it out with Forster for the GK jersey!

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI

Tottenham are a tough team to predict at the moment. Its currently unclear what formation Nuno will opt for, and its also currently unclear if Kane will be at the club next season! We've gone for a 4-2-3-1 formation for now considering how poor the Tottenham CBs are. Doherty will be hoping to see more minutes now that Nuno has taken over. Ndombele, Bergwijn, Skipp, Winks, will be fighting it out for starting positions, as well as Moura, Dele and Gil.

Watford Predicted XI

We would expect this Watford lineup to change a fair bit between now and the transfer window closing. Currently the Hornets have plenty of attacking assets vying for minutes, with Deeney and King the most prominent. Louza and Chalobah will provide competition in central midfield.

West Ham United Predicted XI

We've got West Ham lined up with 4 at the back, which allows an additional attacking midfielder to play. A wing-back system with Masuaku in the side and Creswell moving to LCB is another option. Lanzini will be pushing for minutes, and there is also a high chance another attacking asset will be signed. The Lingard rumours seem to have gone away for now... watch this space!

Wolves Predicted XI

We expect a 4-4-2 to be adopted by new manager Lage. Trincao is likely to slot in on the right hand side with Traore moving over to the left whilst Neto is out injured. Podence will also be challenging for minutes. It remains to be seen if Fabio Silva will start alongside Jimenez, or if a new striker will be signed. Moutinho will be pushing for a central midfield berth.
