Updated: May 13, 2021

Our Gameweek 31 Hot or Cold article is here to outline the current prospects of key Fantasy EPL players.  The 'Hot' or 'Cold' status will help take away your emotional attachment to certain Draft Premier League players and help you bring in the players that you need to help you dominate your Fantrax Draft League!

These Hot or Cold ratings are based on the data contained within the Weekly Rest-of-Season Rankings produced by The FF Chaps. The Draft Society's exclusive weekly refresh of Fantasy EPL prospect rankings!

🔥🔥🔥 Gameweek 31 Hot List 🔥🔥🔥

These are Fantasy EPL players that have risen in our Weekly ROS Rankings! Keep an eye on these Draft Premier League players, and bring them into your Fantrax squad if you can.

Jesse Lingard

Position: Midfielder

Team: West Ham United

GW30 Rank: 21

GW31 Rank: 17

What's Changed?Jesse Lingard at West Ham is ridiculous. 8 games, 131.5 points, and 16.8 points per 90. The Englishman has gained 9.5 points or more in 7 of his 8 games, and West Ham look like genuine Champions League contenders. Lingard is fueling the Hammers' resurgence, and Fantrax managers are reaping the rewards. The Manchester United loanee is the player West Ham look to for inspiration, and he's risen 4 places in my updated rest-of-season rankings. How much higher can he go?!

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Position: Defender

Team: Liverpool

GW30 Rank: 29

GW31 Rank: 21

What's Changed?: Two weeks ago Totti told us all to trade in Trent Alexander-Arnold for pretty much any defender. The Liverpool right-back has gone on to score 17.75 and 28.5. Key Passes and Accurate Crosses have returned in abundance, and even attacking returns. In Gameweek 30 Trent produced his first assist since January 28th, and just his 4th all season. Liverpool are on the up as they push for a top four position, and Trent is on the up as he himself pushes for a slot in Southgate's England squad!

Matheus Pereira

Position: Midfielder

Team: West Bromwich Albion

GW30 Rank: 49

GW31 Rank: 39

What's Changed?: My final 'hot' player is of course Matheus Pereira. How could I not feature the Brazilian after a dazzling display in Gameweek 30. The West Brom midfielder scored 47 points playing away to Chelsea. Let me repeat that. 47 points. Away to Chelsea. From a West Brom player. Pereira has risen 10 places in my Weekly ROS Rankings, and he deserves it. Surely Big Sam can't do the impossible and guide the Baggies to safety? The boy Pereira will be doing his best to try and make that happen!

❄️❄️❄️ Gameweek 31 Cold List ❄️❄️❄️

These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our Weekly ROS Rankings. This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best 11, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension. It's time to consider trading out these Draft Premier League players from your rosters!

Michail Antonio

Position: Midfielder

Team: West Ham United

GW30 Rank: 15

GW31 Rank: 24

What's Changed?: We're here yet again. Sweating over the fitness of Michail Antonio. The muscle-bound West Ham United talisman left the field after 35 minutes on Monday night, with another probable hamstring injury. Antonio did manage to walk off the field independently, but I would be surprised to see him start in Gameweek 31. The former Nottingham Forest man has dropped from 15th to 24th in my Weekly ROS Rankings, but he probably needs to go lower. The injury news has been vague at this stage.

Recommendation: You'll need to wait this one out. I'm not sure if you could get decent trade value for Antonio at this stage. Wait and see if the injury news is on the positive side. Keep Antonio and try and trade in Bowen, who looks set to fill-in for him as the central striker.

Gareth Bale

Position: Midfielder

Team: Tottenham

GW30 Rank: 41

GW31 Rank: 59

What's Changed?: Benched again. The return to prominence for Gareth Bale only lasted a few weeks, as he's back to warming the Tottenham bench. Hooked off on 56 minutes against Arsenal in Gameweek 28. Zero minutes played in Gameweek 29. And just 1 minute played in Gameweek 30. Bale probably should have fallen further than his new ranking of 59th in hindsight!

Recommendation: Try and trade out Bale for the likes of Redmond, Bertrand Traore, or even Armstrong or Walcott. I don't see Bale having much of an impact between now and the end of the season as his loan deal comes to an end.

Eberechi Eze

Position: Midfielder

Team: Crystal Palace

GW30 Rank: 50

GW31 Rank: 60

What's Changed?: Another player who probably should have fallen further. Eberechi Eze has dropped 10 places down to 60th overall, but his points scores are really worrying. I'm a big fan of Eze, but he hasn't gained double digits since February 2nd. That's just not good enough, and he could easily lose his place in the side to Townsend, or a returning Schlupp.

Recommendation: Like Bale, try and trade out Eze for a more reliable asset who isn't in danger of being dropped.
