We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is. Ghost points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, shots on target, successful dribbles, interceptions, and tackles, among others. Identifying these points is essential for your Fantasy EPL prospects, and our Gameweek 20 Ghost Point Hunters article is here to help!

This Ghost Point Hunters article is based on the Fantrax Scoring System. Check out our Ghost Point Tracker page for the full list of Fantasy EPL players and their respective Ghost Point capabilities!
Gameweek 20 Ghost Point Hunters
Jan Bednarek
Position: Defender
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 5%
Ghost Points Per Start: 6.6
Ghost Points Last GW: 20.75
Prospects: Another week, another "asset" from rock bottom Southampton? Yes, indeed. But this time it is ghost point royalty, big Jan Bednarek, who should need no introduction. He was a favorite of ours a few years back - before effectively burning us. We tend to forgive if given a viable reason. This is just to say that he has it in him to ghost out of his mind. And he did just that in GW19 v Palace, racking up an astounding 20+ scary scores. These came from 2 Tackles Won, 6 Interceptions, 11 Clearances, 1 Blocked Shot, & 9 Aerials. While these are ridiculous numbers that are seemingly unsustainable, he has been showing great progress under the new manager, averaging over 9 GPPS in the last 3 games with Juric at the helm. Bednarek looks like a good fit in this system and we're ready to potentially believe again. Shout out to Genie for helping us mend still open wounds.
Verdict: Pick him up!
Sergio Reguilon
Position: Defender
Team: Tottenham
Rostered: 8% (how?)
Ghost Points Per Start: N/A
Ghost Points Last GW: 4
Prospects: Who? It has definitely been awhile for ole Sergio Reguilon. Effectively frozen out by Big Ange - to the point where he posted a cheeky message telling his mother that he was finally playing football again 2 GWs ago after he made his first cameo in ages. The Spaniard, at least for now, is the only plausible option at LB. Udogie and Davies are injured, Dragusin is playing CB, and Spence has had disciplinary issues. Up stepped Reguilon in the 2nd half of the game v Wolves and he delivered a respectable 4 ghosties in under 40 minutes, stemming from 1 Key Pass, 1 Accurate Cross Not A Corner (ACNC), & 1 Aerial. It's hard for defenders in a system in which goals are let in for fun to score all that well but we know that he can ghost if given the chance. If he is on the teamsheet ROS, he's worth a punt if you find yourself in a pinch.
Verdict: Pick him up and stream if he starts.
Leon Bailey
Position: Midfielder
Team: Aston Villa
Rostered: 56%
Ghost Points Per Start: 2.5
Ghost Points Last GW: 16.75
Prospects: This has not been a good season for Leon Bailey. The mercurial Jamaican was lights out in 23/24, posting 19 G/A and a PPS of over 11. But injuries and bad form have held him back this campaign, relegating those lofty numbers to a paltry 2 G/A and 3 PPS in 24/25. Many of us have already written him off, GPH included. But does he have something in store for us? His GW19 indicates he just may. Against Brighton, he dropped a mouthwatering 16+ ghostie performance from 3 Key Passes, 2 Tackles Won, 1 Clearance, & 9 Successful Dribbles (!). Bailey has never been a huge ghoster, instead relying largely on G/A, but if he can get close to his nearly 7 GPPS from last season, he can deliver a ton of upside. This performance came out of nowhere and we'd like to see some more before fully buying in. But by then it may be too late. So if you don't want to miss out, we suggest pouncing while he's still cheap, especially before they host lowly Leicester this weekend.
Verdict: If he's still on your waiver wire, pick him up. If not, test the waters with a 1:1 for a CDM like Gravenberch.
Not So Fast:
Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves DEF; 7 ghosts): We feel it's our duty every time RAN scores a monster haul to remind punters to calm down. He's never been a prolific ghoster - he usually avgs just under 7 GPPS. We personally think Opta should be giving him more successful dribbles but that's a topic for another day). The guy is the definition of boom or bust. Yes, he scored 21 points this past GW but that was predominantly from 2 assists. Let's take a look at the two GWs prior: 7 points with a cleansheet and -0.75. This is too unpredictable and devoid of ghosties for us but different strokes for different folks.
One To Watch:
Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal MID; 8 ghosts): Arteta has been teasing it all season and it finally happened in GW19 against Brentford - the young prodigy got his first EPL start. And he was impressive, buzzing around that right wing, taking players on, and delivering some set pieces (including the one that resulted in a Martinelli goal). Dropping 8 scary scores in your debut is nothing to shake a stick at. He did it by posting 2 Key Passes, 1 Accurate Cross Not A Corner (ACNC), & 2 Successful Dribbles. With Saka out, he'll have more opportunities to make that RW spot his own. Although rotation and inconsistency is inevitable, he's worth a hold for now.
Category Killer Winners:
Key Passes: Enzo Fernandez (5)
Successful Dribbles: Leon Bailey (9)
Aerials: Jan Bednarek (9)
Accurate Crosses Not Corners (ACNCs): Vitalii Mykolenko (3)
Tackles Won: Nicolas Dominguez (4)
Interceptions: Jan Bednarek (6)
Dr. Peter Venkman Award:
Dominic Solanke (Tottenham FWD; 2 ghosts): The narrative going into the draft was that if Dominic Solanke could bag almost 20 goals a season at lowly Bournemouth, surely he could do even better under the auspices of "Ange Ball". In the shocker of the century, it's all gone a bit pear shaped - don't say Spursy, don't say Spursy - over in the Lilywhite section of North London. At the time of writing, Dom has only seen the back of the net 6 times and we're already half way through the campaign. And we know that he historically doesn't ghost very well. Which leads us to his 2 point outing most recently against Wolves, where he delivered 1 Key Pass & 4 Aerials that were drowned out by 4 Dispossessions. But this is par for the course - Solanke's GPPS is almost identical to what it was last season with the Cherries at just over 6. This is tolerable, especially for a FWD, and especially if he is banging in goals. He's just not doing that yet. Apologies but this is what you signed up for.
