We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is. Ghost points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, shots on target, successful dribbles, interceptions, and tackles, among others. Identifying these points is essential for your Fantasy EPL prospects, and our Gameweek 21 Ghost Point Hunters article is here to help!

This Ghost Point Hunters article is based on the Fantrax Scoring System. Check out our Ghost Point Tracker page for the full list of Fantasy EPL players and their respective Ghost Point capabilities!
Gameweek 21 Ghost Point Hunters
Crycencio Summerville
Position: Forward
Team: West Ham United
Rostered: 28%
Ghost Points Per Start: 4.8
Ghost Points Last GW: 11.5
Prospects: It's been a rollercoaster. Many of us had high hopes for Cree Summerville after his big move from Leeds to West Ham this summer. But it just hasn't happened yet for the diminutive playmaker. Well, other than Jarrod Bowen, it hasn't happened for any Hammer under the stodgy Julen Lopetegui. Brighter days are surely on the horizon, however, as Lopetegui has now given way to Graham Potter. In what turned out to be his final game with the Spaniard at the helm, Summerville dropped a ghost-laden masterclass v Manchester City: 11+ ghosties from 3 Key Passes, 1 Shot on Target, 3 Successful Dribbles, & 2 Aerials. He followed this up with a cheeky assist in the FA Cup at Villa before going off with a knock. The injury is bad timing but we can use it to our advantage (unless it's serious, which doesn't appear to be the case). If he gets dropped on the waiver wire because of it, he's an upside hold who should do well ROS in a more attacking system.
Verdict: Pick him up and hold if you have the room; if not, monitor the injury and pounce later.
Savio
Position: Forward
Team: Manchester City
Rostered: 95%
Ghost Points Per Start: 10.5
Ghost Points Last GW: 12.25
Prospects: Who could've known that Savio would end up being the best value for money Man City draft pick? He went in the 9th Round in many drafts and is paying huge dividends for managers. Game time was the big concern but he's been one of the more nailed on players in Pep Roulette, starting 12 games thus far, including the last three on the spin. And he's been a monster, delivering 20+ each of those past three games. His double digit GPPS is what gets us excited but he has also started nicking attacking returns. Most recently, Savio paired a hat trick of assists with a dozen ghosties, stemming from 1 Shot on Target, 1 Accurate Cross Not a Corner (ACNC), 1 Interception, 1 Clearance, 2 Successful Dribbles, & 1 Blocked Shot. Without trying to sound too hyperbolic, given his number (26) and this form, he's looking like a Mahrez regen. With his lack of name recognition, you might be able to get him for value. But his numbers are so good that it could be difficult. In short, he's worth trying to snag.
Verdict: He'll be tough to trade in but you can try to offer some underperforming big names like Odegaard or Maddison.
Alexis MacAllister
Position: Midfielder
Team: Liverpool
Rostered: 95%
Ghost Points Per Start: 6.7
Ghost Points Last GW: 12.75
Prospects: The Argentine went from fantasy stud in Brighton to middling CDM numbers on Merseyside. But he's hit some crazy form of late, forcing us to reconsider our valuation of Mac Allister. While his GPPS is still under 7, his GPPS form - GPPS over the past 3 games - is over 9. And he's been an assist machine, posting 3 assists in the past 3 matches. In a hapless Liverpool performance v Man United, he bagged 2 assists and a gang of ghosts, dropping 2 Key Passes, 1 Shot on Target, 1 Tackle Won, 1 Interception, 1 Clearance, 3 Successful Dribbles, 1 Blocked Shot, &1 Aerial. So, is Mac back? He has indeed stepped up lately, dovetailing with Szobo's continued absence, but we're not sure if we trust him just yet. If you can get him in without breaking the bank, do it after this GW.
Verdict: We're debating whether he's a trade high or someone to try to get in, particularly before the upcoming DGW. Test the waters either way. If you want to trade him, do it now while his value is sky high. If you want to get him in, wait for this matchup v Forest and hope for a down game.
Not So Fast:
Harry Wilson (Fulham MID; 12.75 ghosts): This is an easy one. Wilson is a notoriously poor ghoster, and always has been. This performance is surely an aberration. His GPPS is up to 6.7 but was just 4.2 last campaign. He's high upside because he has an eye for goal but he's as boom or bust as they come. Act accordingly.
One To Watch:
Pedro Lima (Wolves DEF; ghosts): We've been waiting for the young RB to get some action since his transfer and preseason cameos caught our intrigue. He finally did v Forest due to a Semedo knock and he was easy on the eye. He was top of the heap this GW in the ACNC category (3) enroute to finishing with a decent 8.75 scary scores in just under 60 minutes. Wolves have a really tough upcoming schedule but we'll keep him in mind for a stream ROS in better matchups.
Category Killer Winners:
Key Passes: Mikkel Damsgaard (5)
Successful Dribbles: Iliman Ndiaye (5)
Aerials: Jean-Philippe Mateta (8)
Accurate Crosses Not Corners (ACNCs): Pedro Lima (3)
Tackles Won: Matty Cash (6)
Interceptions: Idrissa Gueye (5)
Dr. Peter Venkman Award:
Mohammed Kudus (West Ham United MID; 2 ghosts): The Successful Dribble machine that is Mohammed Kudus has been quite inconsistent this campaign, failing to live up to his lofty expectations and draft pick (likely around the early 2nd Round). But as we alluded to above, most West Ham assets have underwhelmed in Lopetegui's hands, and the Ghanaian has not been immune. Case in point is his latest cameo that ended with just 2 ghosts: 1 Key Pass & 1 Interception, offset by 2 Dispossessions. The million dollar question, though, is will Kudus thrive under Potter? Although his ghosts are down this season, they aren't down that much (8.1 GPPS thus far compared to 8.7 in 23/24), it's the lack of attacking returns that's deflated his value. And that should tick up if Potter hits the ground running. While he could be a buy low, he's Venkman'd for now. Poor guy.
