Waiver Wire Gameweek 24

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 24 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Chiedozie Ogbene (Ros 30%)

Prospects: In the last 4 gameweeks, Luton Town scored the same number of goals as Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United (11), with only Liverpool having scored the most (13). In fact, the Hatters scored 4 goals in back-to-back games for the first time this season and Ogbene has played a vital role in these results, having registered a goal and assist across both those games. In Ogbene's last 4 games, he has been averaging 16.5 points per game (PPG) and 12.75 ghost points per game. These numbers match that of a dependable FWD-2 asset and Ogbene's point production should continue in Gameweek 24 as Luton Town host bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United. Our Fixture Difficulty Tracker ranks Luton Town FWDs with the 2nd best fixture in the upcoming gameweek.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Tosin Adarabioyo (Ros 31%)

Prospects: DEFs have been very difficult to stream this season. So when a reliable asset emerges, especially one with a high ghost point floor, managers should definitely try to roster them if possible. At the moment, Adarabioyo is that type of player! Over his last 3 games, Tosin has been averaging just over 12.5 ghost points per game and now faces Bournemouth in Gameweek 24, which is the 3rd best fixture for all defenders. This makes picking Tosin even more enticing!

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Reece Burke (Ros 2%)

Prospects: Luton Town are absolutely flying at the moment and are currently sat in 17th place in the table, just outside the relegation zone. The Hatters now host bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United and will look to continue climbing up the table with another win. Sheffield United have currently scored the fewest goals in the league (19) and let up the most points to opposing defenders, so they are a great team to target this gameweek. When considering all Luton Town DEFs, Burke is 2nd for points per start (5.8), 1st for points per 90 (7.8) and has the 2nd lowest reliance on goals, assists and clean sheets (22%) for scoring FPts. Even if you aren't able to waiver Burke, any Luton Town DEF should suffice this gameweek, especially considering their opposition.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-2 FAB to get him.

Harry Maguire (Ros 33%)

Prospects: Lisandro Martinez sustained an injury to his MCL during Gameweek 23 and now Manchester United will require the services of Harry Maguire to deputise in the heart of their defence in Gameweek 24. Although the Red Devils' next game is versus a tough Aston Villa, Maguire's ability to ghost his way to FPts should be enough of a safety net even if he manages to concede a goal or two. When considering all Manchester United DEFs, Maguire is 1st for points per start (10.4) and 1st for ghost points per start (8.8). Martinez could be out for up to 8 weeks which should cement Maguire's playing time for the foreseeable future.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Jarell Quansah (Ros 3%)

Prospects: Konate was sent off during Liverpool's Gameweek 23 fixture versus Arsenal and now there is a possible opening at centre-back for Quansah to partner van Dijk in Gameweek 24 at Anfield versus Burnley. Although Quansah has only started 3 games this season, his highest FPts score (18) for the season did come against the Clarets and there's a chance Quansah could replicate this performance as Liverpool will want to bounce back after their stumble in the title race. Konate owners should seriously consider this 1-week Quansah handcuff as we expect the Frenchman to retain his role after fulfilling his suspension.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
