Waiver Wire Gameweek 31
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Gameweek 31 Waiver Wire targets that are 40% rostered (ROS) or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Lewis Dunk (Ros 28%)
Prospects: Dunk returned to the Seagulls’ XI after missing out against Arsenal. As captain, he has started 27 times this season and will continue to be a mainstay through the end of the campaign. He managed 18 fantasy points with a clean sheet in the away win vs Sunderland. While his ~7 ghost points average for the season isn’t incredibly desirable, especially with the strong defensive options available this year, upcoming fixtures could see that average rise to around 8–9. Brighton are finding some form, having won the last three fixtures Dunk has started, with two of those being clean sheets.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
James Ward-Prowse (Ros 35%)
Prospects: There it is! Vintage JWP? Well, it’s still Burnley, but don’t count him or the Clarets out just yet. They’re only nine points off West Ham with eight fixtures to go, and they’ll be pushing until their fate is sealed. That makes the man who just took five corners for them an interesting option going forward. If he can stay in the lineup and on those corners and maintain a solid 8–11 point weekly floor, he might once again can become a reliable option in your midfield.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
Mathys Tel (Ros 30%)
Prospects: For the second straight week, Tel has somehow found the fantasy scoring light in this dark Spurs tunnel, managing 11.5 ghost points (recall he had 16 vs Palace the previous week). Tel also appears to be on some corners now after taking five vs Palace, one in a half vs Atletico, and three in 75 minutes vs Liverpool. He also continues to see starts in what will be a fight-for-their-lives run of favorable fixtures for Spurs until the end of the season. Next up is an all-important Forest matchup is coming up among others.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
