We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In fact, we seek them – ghost points, that is. Ghost points are fantasy points that do not come from attacking returns or clean sheets. These can come in the form of key passes, shots on target, successful dribbles, interceptions, and tackles, among others. Identifying these points is essential for your Fantasy EPL prospects, and our Gameweek 32 Ghost Point Hunters article is here to help!

This Ghost Point Hunters article is based on the Fantrax Scoring System. Check out our Ghost Point Tracker page for the full list of Fantasy EPL players and their respective Ghost Point capabilities!
Gameweek 32 Ghost Point Hunters
Mikel Merino
Position: Midfielder
Team: Arsenal
Rostered: 75%
Ghost Points Per Start: 6.9
Ghost Points Last GW: 8.75
Prospects: To put it mildly, it's been quite a rollercoaster few months for Mikel Merino. Brought over as a tidy CDM, he's now one of the most in form goalscorers in the league. Fantasy-wise, though, he's a bit of a two face. When the Spaniard is up top, unsurprisingly, he has a better chance of nicking attacking returns. And he now can boast that he has 4 goals in his last 6 games as the number nine. Most recently, however, he was back in the midfield, which is where he ghosts better but is less likely to see the back of the net.
And so it was v Everton. With just shy of 9 ghosties, Merino accumulated 9 Aerials (!), 2 Tackles Won, 5 Clearances, & 1 Successful Dribble. This is a tidy score and the type of floor you'd like to see in a MID3. But the million dollar question for top Arsenal assets at the moment is will the Champions League run mean rotation in the Prem? Merino has largely avoided that thus far. His versatility and fitness means this might continue. If he starts this weekend v Brentford, he's likely rotation proof. You're likely going to want to start him regardless of the position but just know the dynamic and act accordingly - if you're chasing and need upside, you want him up top, if you need a steady score, midfield is where you would like to see him.
Verdict: Trade him in if you can. Arsenal has a double upcoming and he seems nailed (barring CL rotation). Open with a big name defender (of the Huijsen ilk, the last assist notwithstanding) that has somewhat gone off the boil (there are an abundance of in form defenders on the wire right now - e.g., the man below).
Toti
Position: Defender
Team: Wolves
Rostered: 26%
Ghost Points Per Start: 7.2
Ghost Points Last GW: 13.75
Prospects: We don't usually like to repeat ourselves. But this fine gentleman warrants it. For the last time, Toti is the best and only reliable defender on Wolves. And now he has become somewhat set and forget. While we've been banging on about him for a long time, he has just kept getting better. He's averaged double digit ghosts in his last 3 starts. And Dr. Tottenham is now coming to town this weekend.
Toti was at his ghosting best last time out in GW31 v Ipswich Town. A mouthwatering 13.75 ghosties later, he had tallied 2 Shots on Target, 1 Tackle Won, 1 ACNC, 1 Cos, 7 Clearances, and 3 Aerials. At this rate, he's undroppable, and schedule wise, it should remain that way. We'll say it again; ride it until the wheels fall off ROS.
Verdict: Pick him up!
Lucas Bergvall
Position: Midfielder
Team: Tottenham
Rostered: 14%
Ghost Points Per Start: 6.6
Ghost Points Last GW: 8
Prospects: The young Blondie has been decent this season. He's become a safe pair of hands. A decent floor with potential to nick a rare attacking return - nothing more, nothing less. And sometimes that's all you need. A a perpetual midfield streaming option, Bergvall delivered 8 scary scores against fellow strugglers, Southampton. These stemmed from 2 Key Passes, 1 Shot on Target, 1 Tackle Won, & 2 Interceptions. Again, not earth shattering, but it helps get the job done. Use him as a break glass in case of emergency option ROS.
Verdict: Pick him up if you get jammed up in midfield.
Not So Fast:
Kamaldeen Sulemana (Southampton FWD; 11 ghosts): This guy has it in his locker to ghost, and he did just that over the weekend. But he still has a sub 7 GPPS and this latest display was against the defense that keeps on giving that is the Tottenham back line. Temper your expectations.
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham DEF; 2 ghosts): This is more of a warning about his ghosts. Yes, he's popping up for some great goals. And we're happy to see him back near his best. But he hasn't been ghosting - as evidenced by his recent paltry haul of just 2 ghosties. Keep that in mind if you're tempted by his overall scores.
One(s) To Watch:
Pablo Sarabia (Wolves MID; 7 ghosts): The mirage that is Pablo Sarabia. Clearly the best creative player on a relatively poor side, he still can't buy a start. He proved this yet again in GW31, coming off the bench for a goal, assist, and 7 ghosts in a 24 minute cameo. We'll believe it when we see it but keep an eye out in case the unthinkable happens on Sunday.
Conor Bradley (Liverpool DEF; 5.5 ghosts): The prodigal son returned from long term injury as a sub against Fulham and looked pretty good. He paired an assist with some ghosts in an impressive 22 minutes. He should start the next few games, which include some tasty matchups. He's scored very poorly this season; let's see if he can find some form. Worth the punt.
Category Killer Winners:
Key Passes: Callum Hudson Odoi (6)
Successful Dribbles: Eberechi Eze (4)
Aerials: Mikel Merino (9)
Accurate Crosses Not Corners (ACNCs): Lewis Cook (2)
Tackles Won: Casemiro (7)
Interceptions: Conor Coady (3)
Dr. Peter Venkman Award:
Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace FWD; 1.25 ghosts): There have been very few fantasy assets this season as boom or bust as one Ismaila Sarr. Capable of posting 0.5 then 31.5 (these were his actual scores in GWs 26 & 27). And so one just has to start him and hope. He's now coming off one of those busts in GW31, only mustering a pathetic one and a quarter ghosts v Brighton in the derby. This is the result of 1 Tackle Won, 1 Clearance, 1 Blocked Shot, and 2 Dispossessions. Sarr has always been somewhat goal dependent, although his GPPS of 6.4 is actually decent for a FWD. With two tricky DGWs incoming, you pretty much have to start him. But who knows what you're gonna get. Might be time to sell the news.
