We'll be focusing on players that will bring us not only attacking returns or clean sheets, but also those players that score Ghost Points in the sophisticated and statistics based Fantrax Scoring System!

Fantasy EPL Gameweek 32 Sleepers XI

For this article, we use the percentage rostered calculation from Fantrax and Sleeper. Our only rule is that each player we highlight is rostered in 60% of leagues or fewer at the time of writing. Therefore, there's a good chance some of these players will be free agents in your Draft league! As always, we'll take form, fixtures, projected points, and a healthy dose of intuition into account to make our selections.

After some middling scores in GW30 (55 FPts) and GW31(71.25 FPts), we were humbled again, especially after boasting about getting three 100+ FPts scores in a row. So let's see what happened in GW31. In net we went with West Ham's Areola, who came up against a shot-happy Bournemouth team. The Frenchman ended on 6 FPts in a 2-2 draw, making 4 saves in the process. In our defence we had 4 players, with Udogie being the only no-show (Note to self: Rostering Spurs defenders could be a frustrating experience for the rest of the season). Matt Doherty and Ryan Manning both got subbed off around the 63rd minute in their respective games, with the former conceding once and the latter conceding twice. Alas, they both scored between 3-4 FPts which isn't great. On the plus side though, Livramento came up against Leicester and absolutely cooked. 21.25 FPts in 90 minutes, which included an assist and clean sheet, which came as no surprise given how terrible Leicester are at the moment. In midfield we had one player, Jack Grealish, who made an appearance off the bench and scored -0.5 FPts in 15 minutes, which is in stark contrast to his haul in GW30 against Leicester (go-figure). Our other 3 MIDs all played 90 minutes with only one of them getting an attacking return. Mateus Fernandes scored 19 FPts with his goal against Spurs, Tyler Adams scraped 4 FPts and Enciso registered a meagre 2.25 FPts, which also included a yellow card. Up front we had 2 FWDs with Keane Lewis-Potter scoring 13 ghost points in 90 mins, whilst Callum Wilson made an appearance off the bench and got -0.5 FPts in 17 minutes. This lineup definitely had a few more risks and players with less upside, so that's something to address for our GW32 Sleepers XI.

The Sleepers XI table below includes a full team of Starters, as well as 5 Reserves - high-upside players with some question marks around whether or not they'll start in Gameweek 32. So keep an eye out when lineups are announced and pick them up if you see them starting, especially if you need to fill a spot on your roster. Read below for the rationale behind each of the Starter selections.

Bart Verbruggen (G, Brighton)

This should be one of the most obvious picks in our roster given Brighton are playing Leicester this weekend. Leicester are the only team to have not scored a single goal in the past 8 matches, whilst Brighton's home form has been improving of late. The only concern about this pick is that Brighton's backline is somewhat ravaged with injuries and suspensions, the latest being Jan Paul van Hecke, but surely nothing can be worse than Leicester's squad at the moment. This should be an easy 8+ FPts.

Emmanuel Agbadou (D, Wolves)

Last week we thought Doherty was the player to match Toti from the Wolves defence, but it turned out it was Agbadou all along. Agbadou has been averaging 7.4 PPS this season and has a 18% GACS reliance (the lowest of all Wolves DEFs). He's been an immense addition to the Wolves backline and definitely had a positive contribution to their league form and survival. With Spurs having midweek European commitments, Wolves could pull off a surprise result, especially with the tie still in the balance for Spurs, meaning they might rotate and save their strongest XI for their 2nd leg against Frankfurt. Agbadou's 7.6 gPPS is only second to Matt Doherty, so even if Wolves were to concede a goal or 2, his ghost point production still warrants starting him as a DEF-3/4

Lewis Dunk (D, Brighton)

We're suggesting Brighton's captain this weekend for the same reasons as Verbruggen - Leicester don't score goals anymore! Although Dunk's 4.5 PPS is a massive concern, this is purely a fixture play for the clean sheet. There is a chance that Dunk could get an attacking return from either a corner or a direct free-kick, but he only has 1 assist all season so there's not much hope. The only reason I'd be put off punting on Dunk is because first team defenders like van Hecke, Veltman and Webster will be missing the game due to various reasons. Although the Seagulls might have a slightly inexperienced backline, no way Leicester break their streak of blanks do they?

Trevoh Chalobah (D, Chelsea)

It was really odd to see such a heavily rotated Chelsea team against Brentford in GW31, a team that Chelsea has usually struggled against for the past few seasons and also because the race for a Champions League spot is starting to really heat up. However, Chelsea are also still vying for a European trophy, hence rotation. One beneficiary of this rotation was Chalobah. Not only did Chalobah start in GW31 and get rested in the European fixture, but he also thrived in Colwill's absence, scoring 14 FPts with a clean sheet. If there's a chance that Colwill misses out again against Ipswich in GW32, Chalobah could dominate the ghost points in the Chelsea backline again. This happened back in GW22 against Wolves when Chalobah made his debut for Chelsea again whilst Colwill had missed out - scoring nearly 17 ghost points that day! Although the Tractor Boys had smashed Chelsea in the reverse fixture, Chelsea might fancy their chances against a dispirited Ipswich after their relegation was pretty much confirmed from losing to Wolves in GW31. This should mean a comfortable game for the Blues. It also helps that Chelsea's home form has improved of late (3rd best home team over the last 8 home fixtures with only Nottingham Forest and Arsenal having conceded fewer goals).

Tyrone Mings (D, Newcastle)

Aston Villa had a rough first leg in the Champions League against PSG, having lost 3-1 at the Parc des Princes. Emery seems to be rotating his squad heavily as well, with the focus being on the European tournament. In GW31 we saw a completely different back-four to the one that was deployed in the game against PSG. Assuming that this could be the trend for Villa's next couple of games, then Mings could be a nailed option for GW32, as the English CB was a bench option during the midweek fixture. Relegation has already been confirmed for Southampton and they also lost their manager, so who knows what kind of headspace their players will be in. Although Mings has not played much this season, he's still been averaging 7.7 PPS, and when you're facing one of the promoted teams, there's always a chance for a clean sheet.

Carlos Baleba (M, Brighton)

Although Baleba seems to have gone off the boil slightly from a FPts perspective (under 5 PPS in his last 4 starts), that's not stopped the Cameroonian midfielder from having a pop at goal. Over his last 3 appearances, he's attempted 5 shots, and when you're facing a team like Leicester, attacking returns for any asset is a possibility. Over the last 4 games, Leicester and Southampton have conceded the most goals (9) and the last time Baleba scored double digits was actually against Southampton (13.75 FPts), which were all ghosts! So I'd say it's very possible to expect something similar this weekend against the Foxes.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (M, Wolves)

Whilst Cunha had been serving his suspension, it's fair to say that Bellegarde has really stepped up, as both a player IRL and as an asset in Fantrax. He's been averaging just under 12 PPS over the last 8 gameweeks, with and without Cunha. You'd think that with Cunha returning though, Bellegarde's points' ceiling could arguably improve as the quality of Wolves' attack would significantly improve with their Brazilian talisman on the pitch. Although Wolves are somewhat safe from being relegated now, Vitor Pereira is still focussed on getting the best out of his team and will be fully focussed on trying to win as many games as possible as an early prep for next season. Also, we've noticed it time and time again, Spurs is a tasty fixture for any asset that is facing them. So Bellegarde could be a great MID-3 punt this weekend.

Jefferson Lerma (M, Crystal Palace)

It should come as no surprise that our fixture difficulty tracker has Crystal Palace MIDs as the 2nd best rated option for GW32, as they are 1 of 2 teams to have a double gameweek. Despite Will Hughes and Kamada being available, Crystal Palace are still missing a key cog in their backline (Guehi suspension). So there's a big chance that Lerma might be asked to play as an auxiliary CB again, like he did against Brighton. He scored 7 Fpts in that game, which exactly matches his 7.0 gPP90 for the season. He should then move back into midfield for the game against Newcastle, and resume his steady-eddy production. So I'd say you can expect around 12-15 FPts over this double gameweek, which is a solid return for a MID-4 for your roster.

Kamaldeen Sulemana (M, Southampton)

During Juric's short stint, Sulemana started 9 games and showed fantasy managers how lethal of an asset he could be. Till now, Sulemana was averaging 8.0 PPS whilst scoring 13.0 gPP90, the best of all of his teammates. His monster score of 19 FPTs in GW31 (which included an assist) also showed why he could be a MID-4 for any roster in any given gameweek. Although Southampton have now been confirmed relegated, they'll still want to avoid the record of having the lowest points tally ever in a Premier League season and there's a strong chance that they could get something against a leggy Villa team, after their 1st leg UCL defeat against PSG. Sulemana could have a field day.

Paul Onuachu (F, Southampton)

During Juric's short tenure, Onuachu was the 3rd best scoring Southampton asset, averaging 7.42 PPG. That being said, in the 9 starts he has had all season, he's been averaging 9.3 PPS, which sounds way more promising. The latter stat is the reason we're positive about the Juric sacking. Despite being one of Juric's main men, Onuachu was rotated often, which left managers quite frustrated with having to stash the Benteke-regen FWD, especially in the back-end of the season where wins are more vital than making sure you have a deep roster for the rest of the season. If there's a chance that Onuachu is free in your league, grab him now! You'll definitely want to be starting him if he is given the green light.

Rodrigo Muniz (F, Fulham)

Muniz is on red-hot form at the moment. Despite only starting twice in the last five games, Muniz has scored in 4 of those 5 appearances. We all knew that Muniz had the potential to be a reliable FWD-2 this season, but it's the lack of consistent starts which have always been the issue. However there's hope that Marco Silva could reward his 2nd striker with back-to-back starts, against Bournemouth this weekend, given his recent form. Just be careful with this punt as it's the last game before the double gameweek fixture as well as being the only game on the Monday night. So if you don't have a back-up plan for a possible benching, you could be screwed. High risk, high reward against a Bournemouth team that have been leaky of late.
