Dango Ouattara

Position: Winger (M in Fantrax)

Team: Brentford

Signed From: Bournemouth for €43m

Prospects: The 23yo from Burkino Faso gets a move away from the Cherries to the Bees and likely more starting minutes. As a backup mostly to Semenyo and Tavernier (when fit) last season Dango showed his worth to fantasy managers while starting (11.3 PPS, 8.6 GPPS in 21 starts), so if he can nail down a role at Brentford, he should be quite valuable. Given that they've lost Bryan Mbeumo and likely Yoanne Wissa and have yet to sign anyone else to replace the 2, Dango looks a great bet to do just that. In fact, outside of Kevin Schade, he's likely their best attacker left. His primary competition will mostly come in the form of Carvalho (only 3 starts last season in the Prem), and Lewis-Potter (a winger turned full back). Dango's attacking returns (0.63 npxG+xA/90) and ability as a lefty, should allow him to suck up substantial minutes in the Bees attack over those 2. As a hard worker (great defensive numbers for a winger), good dribbler, and aerially Dango should continue to be a good floor, good ceiling fantasy option even in a potentially poor Brentford side. After losing their lefty set-piece taker Bryan Mbeumo, Dango could even factor into the equation there (he only took a handful for Bournemouth last season, but Damsgaard, Jensen, and Carvalho are all righties). Dango should be a quality MID2 or so this season and with a great ghost-point floor I'd be willing to spend 80+% of my FAB or a top 2 waiver on him.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
