Articles by The Draft Society
Due to the sheer number of games over the Holiday Season and short turnarounds between gameweeks, we adjusted our writing schedules as well. But we are happy to tell you that we will be bringing you FULL gameweek prep for every single gameweek from GW17 - 21. Here is how we have amended the schedule to be able to bring you the most complete draft prep anywhere:
Waivers articles will be published at least 3 hours before the first normal waiver of the period on our site, featuring no less than 4 waiver targets for the upcoming GW. Example here.
Sleepers XI articles will be published for each GW on our site, featuring 11 sleeper picks and 5 high upside streamers for the upcoming GW. Example here.
Useful Draft Metrics, Set Piece Takers, Ghost Point Tracker, and the Fixture Difficulty Tracker will be updated before the start of the gameweek. Access here.
Fantasy EPL Points Projections will be generated for every gameweek for Inner Circle members (see below to become one). Projections here.
"Weekly" ROS Ranks will be updated before GW18 and GW20, and then once again as usual from 4th January onwards. Rankings here.
Ghost Point Hunters will also appear at least once a week (potentially even more). Some examples here.
GW Takeaways will be published before GW18 and GW20.
The Fantasy TOOLKIT will be updated for every GW at least 1 hour before the start of the first game of each GW.
Commissioner's Corner - Waiver Setup
A congested Holiday schedule always comes with a few issues for commissioners. Time to dust off that programmer's degree. The following suggestions are based on the assumption that the league's waiver settings are set to the usual Tuesday/Thursday-Friday schedule.
The first time you have to change your waiver settings is right after GW17. As GW18 starts on a Thursday, we suggest changing the day waivers run to TUESDAY-THURSDAY on Sunday 17th December. That way people have more than 24 hours to prepare for any potential waiver change.
The next time you have to change your waiver settings is right after GW18. As GW19 starts on a Tuesday, we suggest changing the day waiver run to MONDAY on Friday 22nd December.
Your penultimate setting change comes quickly thereafter. On Wednesday 27th December, change waivers to FRIDAY only. (if you wish to run 2 waivers before GW20, you can add Saturday as a waiver day too, but you will need to adjust the time after waivers run on Friday to ensure Saturday waivers run before the first kickoff). This is the only time our suggested default setup only has one waiver run in between GWs.
After GW20 is done, you can set your waivers back to normal (Tuesday/Thursday-Friday) on 3rd January. We also suggest you tick the 23+ hours on waivers toggle at this point to ensure that new transfer window arrivals who are added to the pool late are only available to pick up after they have spent at least 23 hours on waivers.
