Premier League Predicted Starting XI: Leeds

Find below all the details on how we think Leeds will lineup this season. This is subject to change based on new signings and pre-season friendly data, of course.

Leeds Predicted Starting Lineup: Graphical View

It’s been a busy summer so far for Jesse Marsch and the Whites, as the American works to rebuild the squad to adopt his style of play. The departures of star players Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, while painful, have allowed for much-needed reinvestment across the squad. Injuries ravaged Leeds last season, with significant injuries to Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford contributing to a sharp decline in results from their promotion campaign the year before. Cooper and Bamford are close to full fitness heading into 22/23, which will provide a significant boost of confidence and quality at either end of the pitch. Luke Ayling is reportedly on the verge of a return as well, which will add another veteran to the playing ranks for a plethora of young new arrivals to learn from.

At the time of writing, Leeds have added six new players to their ranks in the offseason, with many expected to step straight into roles in the starting eleven. Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams, Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra all look likely candidates to be the preferred options in their respective positions, though Aaronson and Sinisterra may be eased in given the fact that suitable deputies are available in their roles. The end-of-season leg break for Stuart Dallas and a pre-season injury for Junior Firpo means Marsch will have to contend with a lack of quality depth at left back and in the central midfield positions. But neither position should be expected to be a source of significant fantasy returns unless and until Dallas works his way back to his pre-injury form. Leeds have consistently been linked with strikers over the course of the summer, which could jeopardize Bamford’s starting status. For the time being, though, he’s a safe bet to start whenever he’s fit. Kristensen, Cooper, Adams, Roca and Harrison seem very likely to also fall into that camp from the outset.

Editor's Note - 7/25 - Leeds announced they have sold Leif Davis to Ipswich on a permanent deal, leaving the club without a fit left back. They are expected to complete a signing in that position before the end of the transfer window, but Pascal Struijk or Leo Hjelde may fill in for a couple games if necessary. Stay away from this position in your draft.
